Took advantage of the long weekend and made a trek out to the Oregon coast. There aren't many big climbs to make on this part of 101, so it's perfect for my little 4 cylinder. The crowds mostly stay north of Newport, so there wasn't much worry to find spots to camp for the night (including Floras Lake & Sunset Bay).

The leak is right in the middle of the wheel according to the shops. I think maybe I should have them show it to me while its wet and have them check the stem as well. Doesn't make sense that it would just start leaking after new tires even though I've driven it 500+ miles since. Slime is a good idea if all else fails. -
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, the compressor was just to get down into Medford from camping. I took it to two different tire shops and they both gave it a bath to check the leak. A guy had an ad on local Craigslist a couple weeks ago, but it expired and I can't track him down. I just didn't know if 86 was an oddball year from reading other posts or not. I'm a newbie.

It figures that I replace all of my tires and now I have a slow leak in my driver side rear wheel (left lug threads). I haven't had much luck tracking down a replacement from previous posts and my own search. Anybody have any recommendations on where to look? Thanks!

Hey Paul Are you riding at Meadows only? I've done some truck camping at Skibowl (pow days). Just ride into the night before warming up at the Stube and retiring to my vehicle. I'll be trying it this year for the first time with my Toy. Maybe I'll see ya out there! -
Heading out on a week long trek from Portland to Owyhee/Succor Creek, Alvord Desert and Steens Mountain areas next week. Anyone have experience driving on the gravel roads there? Also, any tips or must sees are welcome. I think I have the highlights, but there seems to be a lot to see. Happy Trails!
