  1. How is your project coming? Do you have more photos for us? I am also mid-construction on an 84 mini cruiser, and I wanted to see your progress for ideas.
  2. Welcome Bob, A photo would be best. Are the front wheels 6-lug? Have you read the tire sizes on the front and rear? Some/Most of us have 5 lug fronts and 6-lug (due to axle recall replacement) rears.
  3. It would appear that the previous owner did a partial de-smog. He also decided that he didnt need an air intake any longer.
  4. The only reasonable explanation I can think of as to why the previous owner destroyed the dash is that he must have lost something important in it.
  5. This wonderful repair job might explain some of the delam.
  6. About 85% of this wall was delaminated and still wet. The styrofoam below the leaky gas fill was melted away and formed a napalm-like substance that worked its way down the wall and collected at the bottom.
  7. Yup, that is a spare carburetor in the sink.
  8. Have a read of this thread to find a tire (or 7). From what I have read, most people carry one front spare, mounted and balanced. If you lose a front, you can change it yourself and drive to get it repaired. If you lose a rear tire, you can take the wheel off, and limp to a service center on 5 tires. If you lose another rear, remove it, balance out the rear with one tire on each side and crawl to the service center. I have considered keeping a new unmounted spare rear tire on board in the event that a local service center cannot find a replacement, or it takes them days to get one, and the cost! This way, you can be in and out, but is it worth the weight? Maybe. At least if you had to order a tire and wait, you wouldn't be left without a place to sleep...
  9. Interesting.. On mine, there are stock muffler mounts that hang just to the rear of the wheels. I was unsure if they were added by Toyota or RBR (camper manufacturer) Tell me, do you have any windows that open to the rear of your tailpipe exit?
  10. I do agree about the 2.25" pipe. A little more research and I think im working with an 83 model instead of an 84 (via ToyoDiy VIN search) This changes things a little bit, since the cat-back isnt available for the RN44. But i may be able to piece it together with a custom bent pipe. I was hoping someone had done it before. I still need to know about wheelbase and tailpipe length. To be legal, the exhaust must exit at the rear (back bumper area) in a motorhome?
