  1. I'm working on putting up a Blog site as a kind of Travel Log - I'm learning this process so if you have any recommendations, please let me know.

I have "WordPress" installed and have been playing with it a little. Here's the link as to what I have so far:

    http://www.iflyez.com/alaska/

    John Mc

    88 Dolphin 4 Auto

thanks for the tips and i'll be following your Alaska blog too, I've always wanted to go there. Especially in an RV.

  2. ok thanks waiter, taking a look at your write-up.

buf, I seem to have the problem waiter had in that the plastic flanges are cracked and I think that's where the leaks are coming in. So I do need all the equipment, not just the top covers.

    thanks for the input guys!

-edit- waiter, nice write up, thanks! I didn't see where you got your vents though, do you remember where you bought them?

  3. You guys are GREAT! Thank you so much! I never expected such great help! So, do I need to light this pilot light in the frig? If I plug in, does that charge my batteries as well?I tried Allstate Waiter, they told me 400 and some as well. I almost died. The guy I bought it from said he paid $32 quarterly at progressive...BS!

That quote is accurate for Progressive with just the liability coverage. I pay $100 a year with Progressive and I just have CA state minimum plus uninsured motorist coverage. Because I only paid $3,000 for my Dolphin the rates for full coverage are just too high. I could pay for a 2nd Dolphin in a couple years!

And thank you waiter and all the other posters on here with answering the questions your help not only helps those who ask but people like me who haven't asked the exact same questions yet.

  4. Well, some in the Yahoo Group had a different opinion, So I'll caution any who chose to watch it to do so at their own risk and if it displeases Greg, I'll gladly do the honors of delating the post myself.

Again, rated PG (or maybe 'R', but not XXX).

It was a great movie. Don't know why anyone would think it isn't. I think Winnebago man was exploited a little in the movie, but still it was a good movie and he had full knowledge of what he wanted to show.

  5. post-3796-12788163903081_thumb.jpg Hey there,

I previously posted a question as to whether or not we would bring our two Wiemaraners with us on our cross-country mission. Our "pups" are three years old, wound tight, and have a combined weight of about 180 pounds. We just weren't sure how a 4 week trip to the Pacific Northwest would be with them onboard. Would we pull our hair out midway through??

On the contrary, it was an absolute joy traveling with them and I kick myself for even considering kenneling them. Roxie and Bodhi would curl up together under the dinette table and be totally out of the way while driving. Occasionally, we would leave them in the rig while we picked up a bite to eat (cool temperatures, of course), and return to find someone walking past the rig, laughing out loud at the sight of one dog at the wheel and one in shotgun.

Thanks go out to those of you who had made suggestions to us about how to simplify the process, and what to be ready for while on the road with dogs in tow. We owe many good memories to those two, crazy houndsJ

    Cheers,

    Aaron

What a great story. I want pics of the two dogs up front! I bet that was funny.

  6. I started tearing my ceiling out 2 days ago. think I am allergic to fiber glass insulation as I itch like a bear up a fuzzy tree.

No, you're not allergic to fiber glass insulation. It is made from threaded recycled glass and other material. It is also very dangerous. Not only does it cause skin irritation with contact but breathing the fibers can cause cancer. Use protective gear whenever you are handling fiber glass insulation!!
