  1. I winni had all the wires chewed through, thanks for mice, Now I store it on a asphalt. How do we prevent mice from getting into the airbox? steel wire ?
  2. JDE, Thanks for the pics, that helps, but I don't have any air valves on the bumper pic coming in a few, need to resize them.
  3. yes ma'am, posting pics in a few, could not get good view from the front pass or driver side due to the storage boxes and steps obstructing line of sight.
  4. ok I spend a lot of time on my hands and knees looking for the air bag inflation thingy, nothing on my bumper, I look under and I don't think I have any air bags in my 90 winni
  5. Jodi, I found the top screws, I will post a pic later, How do I remove the false bottom, does it pop out?
  6. Corbin, That helps me understand how the factory designed it to be, thanks, and I agree with you. I will keep it as is, just a little worried that if I take off the screws and put them back in the same hole, it might not have the same support.
  7. Don, Thanks, that makes sense, I dunno if I have these, but if I do, I will probably add steel/alu plates to the side walls and attach L-brackets to support the top cabinets from below instead of attaching them through the roof.
  8. Yes, the is next on my list of stuff to get after the flux capacitor. :-) I found the winni manual in the camper, gonna go over that today, see what I find.
  9. hmm, maybe the screws heads on mine might be covered, I looked at the framing and could not see any screw heads. good info on the false bottom, I was wondering where all the wiring was.
  10. First, do the bags on my 90 winni have nipples to air em up? Any ideas where they can be?
  11. wapiti, So the cabinets are screwed from the inside to the studs? I have foam sandwich walls, I opened up a few cabinets and looked for screws but I could not locate any. Jodi has an 85, and he reported that his one, all the cabinets were screwed from the outside before the skin was put on. He had to cut the screws with a vibrating tool. I was looking at your pics, are those aluminum cross members from factory? Do they have a curve to them? I love this pic, it will really help to me to redo my cab, I like how you used kregs screws to attached the framing.
  12. Has anyone taken the top cabinets off a Winnebago? Can you please share how do I go about taking off the top cabinets. I want to remove all the top cabinets, reseal the roof edge and then add a support beam or beams across. Then put the cabinets back again.
  13. my 2 hp Honda outboard has issues dying on me at WOT, some guys at the spoonplugger club suggested SEAFOAM, I have not tried it, but something you can try, I read good things about it.
  14. mark, how about cork floor, light, pretty, soothing to the feet too
  15. Zach, Yes Sir, you are on the money, for camping with family you want a bigger camper, I am looking at day trip to the beach, salmon/steelhead fishing 3 hours away, with possibility to catch some shut eye before heading back home. for me, well my 3 girls in the family (grand ma and 2 daughters), they refuse to use a porta john ;-) My mother and I target the nocturnal species and it good to have a place to lie flat for few hours. I like the ones made out of cutaway van chassis as the height of the floor is lowest compared to truck frame. my mother has a few issues with her ankle nerves and being low helps her a lot.
  16. I want a double cab, call me crazy but I want the most precious things I have life (my family) to be safe. I like a sandwich wall but not sure if I want to be behind it when being t-boned by a drunk driver. :-)
  17. hey Jodi, Are these beams inside the sandwich panel? Are they like aluminum 3/4x3/4 square? Thanks for the detailed insight, that really helped understand how the roof sits on top of the walls.
  18. Linda, post a pic of your tiger pls, I luv those tigers,
  19. I have a 90 winni v6, it has foam sandwich boards and alu roof, I have a little sag where the a/c sits. I looked all around and from what I can see I don't see any structural beams. Am I correct to assume that my winni does not have any structural beams in the roof structure? or in the walls?
  20. So how much r u guys paying for full coverage for a toyo camper?
  21. JDE, PM sent for the remaining 2 rims.
  22. wow, DMW registration dictates if vehicle is a truck or rv. You should file a complaint with the state AG, insurance gods. My insurance refuses full coverage saying it is too old. then started whining that I have too many vehicles, and if I buy anymore I will have to prove that they are mine. I told them I have an simpler solution, how about I insure with someone else?
  23. JDE, actual best mpg from my 1300 miles trip, it is relative easy to get bad mpg. I bought some pooooopy diesel in IOWA and gotten no better than 11 mpg, I am pretty sure I was stuck in regen. My truck gets 11 mpg while on regen, I can take up to 110 mph and still get 10.5 mpg. that is by itself, don't ask how I know ;-) Dunno, if my truck has magic or it is just the Mexican food I ate in Nebraska.
  24. Hey linda, Is this the beam they added?
