Thanks both for your comments. I'd be happy to get to a place where I don't notice or think about it much. Because at this point, I dread the thought of traveling more than two or three hours. The noise, even at 50 mph, is trying. Our car, which we've had since new, is a 1995 t-bird. This thing is so quite, I'm afraid we've become spoiled. So any product that we could get that would make a noticable difference in the toyota would be appreciated. I did find a product on ebay called FatMan that seems like a great deal at a great price. I'll plan on giving this a try, unless I hear otherwise. Thanks, Paul (

I've got a 1986 New Horizon with a 22RE. It runs great, but it is noisier than I like. The noise seems to be normal (I'm probably just more sensitive than most), but I would like to reduce it by soundproofing, or something of that sort. Most of the noise is engine noise (when the engine is working hard, which seems to be most of the time), and then the lesser amount is the road noise through the tires. Has anyone tried putting soundproofing in the hood or floorboards, etc? Thanks in advance. Paul
