  1. Wondering if anyone can help me in determining if I should change the timing belt on my 1991 Toyota Winnebago Warrior, it only has 82,000 miles, but it is over 20 years old and I do not know if it has ever been done before since I am not the original owner. I am not having any poblems with it, but someone told me that these should be changed every 60,000 miles. Just in case anyone ever wants to know, Toyota wants $1,600.77 parts and labor to replace the timing belt, water pump, tensio...

      I have a v-6 tacoma, at toyota dealership here, they did the same job for just over six hundred, including the water pump.

      Look in the engine compartment and see if you see a sticker stating mileage when{and if} belt was done.

      Change it. Really not fun when your on the road and it goes. Yes, its a major. Do it at your convenience. But do it. Shop around, dealers can be expensive. Go reputable at any rate. Good luck, enjoy.
