  1. Do I have to install something like this? http://www.dealsourcedirect.com/41450.html
  2. " I think most of the older isolators had 75 amp". I installed a 130 amp alternator already. Does this mean I need to install a 130 amp isolator? Also where exactly is the isolator located and do you have a link/ know of a website where I could buy a 130 amp isolator if one is needed? Thanks again
  3. The auxiliary battery in my '94 Warrior for some ridiculous reason has a 10 (maybe even 12) gauge wire for the positive post and about a 2 gauge for the negative post...? I would think if anything they'd be reversed if not the same... Anyway, I would love to put at least 4 gauge on the positive post as I have recently installed a 130 amp alternator and I pull 400-800 watts constantly out of the auxiliary battery while driving to charge electric bike batteries. Would this be an easy task? It doesn't seem to easy to get to the wiring harness for the auxiliary battery charging system. Is there some way I could do it thru the breaker box or would I have to run it directly to the under the hood battery? Thanks
  4. Less than an inch of clearance to the bottom of the pullout couch/bed. The only option would be to drop out the bottom as there is more than a foot of clearance between the ground and the bottom of the box. I am just not familiar or sure of how to do this or what tooling to use. I have been quoted between $500.00 and $1000.00 from welders which I am sure is 99% labor and over charged 10 times especially because they say they won't even be welding it because it is not weldable material.
  5. Either way I needed it to run the A/C. It is MUCH cheeper and MUCH quieter than the Onan+ installation so it was really the only option. I was just hoping it'd go right in. That's what I was told.
  6. Ouch... That hurts almost as much as the $500.00 welding job... I only need two inches on the height. The handle elimination would work but it would be ghetto ;-) ghetto.tiff
  7. I was told that a Honda eu2000i would fit "no problem" into the empty generator compartment on my 94 Toyota/Winnebago Warrior so I picked on up for a grand and now I'm stuck... Anyone have any ideas on hoe to make this fit without spending another grand on a welder to completely re-fabricate the generator storage compartment to fit this sucker? Thanks
  8. I wonder why the 91 Warrior space is so much bigger than the 94? Just picked up a 2000i and it doesn't even close to fit. The entire storage box will have to be cut out and rebuilt. From what I can see it is the original box. The actual opening of the storage/generator housing box is 4 inches to small for the height of the 2000i. If I put it in in an angle it'll barely wiggle past that only to find that the internal storage box is just less than 2 inches too small to allow the 2000i to stand upright. There is also this off-center divider plate which seems to only be there to protect the 220 A/C wire so I could cut it out. But left alone the box is over 6 inches to small to accommodate the length of the 2000i. I am not one who knows much about welding but I figure this may cost somewhere between $300.00 and $500.00 to have rebuilt? Anyone have a better estimate or advice? Thanks
  9. Much thanks for all the help and advice. I think the problem may be is that I use the house battery to charge four electric bike lithium ion batteries while I am driving on the highway which I thought would be more than enough to charge them as well as keep the house battery fully charged. I have a 750 watt inverter connected to the fuse box which I use to charge two bike batteries at a time. The inverter pulls about 400 watts continuously for 6 hours for each set of two; so 12 hours of continuous 400 watt pull from the house battery total. BUT at least 90% of this I am running 60+ on the highway so I figured it could handle. I don't think it can. Maybe I should check out the 155 amp alternator Foxy suggested. Does anyone have a source or a specifically link for a good priced one? Thanks again for the help!
  10. So if I replace the #8 wire with a 4 gauge wire and put in a 50 amp breaker in the box would it work or would there be more to it than that?
  11. I was wondering if the auxiliary battery is charged at all by the alternator in a 94 Winnebago Warrior (Toyota)? I keep killing batteries. Also wondering why or if there is a power inverter in these suckers. It seems like they are set up for RV parks (which I would never use). I couldn't imagine having to use the generator and/or AC power to charge the auxiliary battery... That would render Toyota motorhomes practically useless for all that don't live and die by the RV park which I avoid at all costs. Anyway, if the aux needs AC/generator power what is the simplest way for me to use the motor/alternator/main battery to keep me in power? Thanks for the help and suggestions!
  12. I just bought a 1994 Winnebago Warrior with no generator and a very small space in which to instal one. I was wondering if the Honda EU2000i Generator will fit into the space and is enough to start and power the stock Coleman 6727 on the roof? Anyone have any ideas or experience with this? Thank you
  13. Yeah, Firestone is a big help. I have called them several times throughout the year long ordeal and spoken with technicians, sales reps and managers. They all say the same thing; "Firestone does not produce air bags for your application sir..." Great huh? Anyway, they are not the double convoluted type. They are the type featured mostly on the first two links you sent. The huge single type with the big steel plate on the bottom. The problem is they are "mounted" by a weld on both top and bottom so once they're out they're out. So I am screwed if I cannot figure this thing out before hand. Still tryin'...
  14. Those links you sent me are brilliant. They are exactly the air bags I have. Thanks. Now I just need to figure out which exact one because for some reason they seemed to have changed the part number. I did a PDF search for mine (4086 or 4q86) and nothing came up. Any idea on which of those they used on the 87 Dolphin? Thanks again
  15. I blew my rear suspension airbags just after I bought my 87 Dolphin last year and I have not been able fix the situation. The airbags installed seem to be OEM/ stock and they seem to have given at least 6 to 8 inches of lift/ support when they were functioning. They are "Firestone Airsleeve 4Q86" or possibly 4086 which apparently are no longer available. The air bag kits suggested on Ebay, on this forum and other places are either Airlift 57113 or FIrestone 2115. Both of these kits offer only 4 inches of lift or less. Obviously this is not adequate as the current air bags installed offer at least 5 inches even popped and even with this I am scraping like oooo and destroying the Dolphin. Anyone know of any ideas on how to lift this thing 8 inches or more. I have bought and returned Super Springs (sway bar prevents installation) and bought and returned the Airlift kits and brought the thing to 5 different tire and suspension shops and no one has any idea on what to do. I am at a total loss and bottoming out daily... Help me!
  16. She'll only do 60/65 on extremely flat highway and usually has to kick down into 3rd (automatic) to do it. The other thing I noticed is she kicks down into 3rd whenever I try to sustain anything over 55 even on flat highway (well, as flat as California highways get that is). I usually cannot go for more than a few miles/minutes at 60/65 without it kicking down. Usually it happens every time I try to get above 55 though. Sometimes she'll stay in 3rd for 10 or 20 miles at a time even on nearly flat highway then shift back to 4th as soon as the highway starts to decline. Is this normal?
  17. I will get the brakes checked and/or check for heat.
  18. Is there any reason that a newly tuned-up & timed 4-cylinder 22 re efi Dolphin with 50,000 miles, only 2 passengers & new/inflated tires would get 6 miles per gallon on the highway (although it is a pretty hilly highway) with a max of 12 or 13 miles per gallon on flat highways? I always read 14-18 miles per gallon when reading Dolphin adds. 18 may be exaggerating but 6 is ridiculous. I might as well get a class-A 40 foot 10 cylinder diesel... It would probably get twice the milage that the Dolphin is getting...
  19. Yes, both the Airsleeve that seems to be stock that's in there now and the Air Lift are single convolution bags. I am not sure of the weight specs on the original Airsleeve. I think I may go with the Air Lift though...
  20. The originals that are now installed and popped are Firestone Airsleeve 4Q86 or possibly 4086 and are not available anywhere on the net as far as I can tell. The Firestone technician at the corporate headquarters said; "We definitely do not make air bags for Toyota motorhomes." It sounded like he was talking from a legal/ liability standpoint although I cannot say for sure. He also said that "the 2115 would definitely not work..." and "don't even try to use them."
  21. Thanks for the photo. Looks good. I think I will order those instead of trying to deal with Firestone. DId you have to drill or do anything other than replace the original bags for those or where those what came with your rig?
  22. Are they Air Lift 57113? And what year & size is your Dolphin?
  23. They are Firestone Airsleeve 4Q86 or possibly 4086 and are not available anywhere on the net as far as I can tell.
  24. I spoke with "Fastlaneusastore" and they said; "No, we don't have anything for a 1987 Toyota Dolphin." I asked him about the 2115 and he said it "may not work" and "I don't really suggest trying it." I spoke with Firestone and they said; "We definitely do not make air bags for Toyota motorhomes." It sounded like he was talking from a legal/ liability standpoint although I cannot say for sure. He also said that "the 2115 would definitely not work..." and "don't even try to use them." So any other ideas? Anyone actually have any experience replacing the airbags? I finally got under and read them; "Firestone Airsleeve 4Q86" or Maybe "4086". There is no listing for either anywhere on the net including Ebay and Firestone's website. Once again I am at a loss...
  25. Also; 2116 is shown for this year... So it's either 2115, 2116 or 1130...
