  1. Install a locker. My 4x4 buddy just had one installed in the rear of his jeep and it goes a lot of places in 2wd that I have to use 4wd for. I know that Aussie locker makes a lot of Toyota lockers Powertrax is also a good option. Goot luck, Clayton
  2. thanks I will do that I appreciate the help!
  3. it has dual tires, just one axle. thanks, Clayton
  4. Hello there I'm in the process of buying a 1978 16ft (i think may be 18ft) Toyota dolphin. It has the 20R and the 4 speed. The current owners replaced the rear axle bearings and seals last season. Ther is no noticable rust on the exterior and the interior looks beautiful. It has 60,000 miles on the ticker and purrs like a kitten. there are no major leaks or any thing obvious. I'm looking for any tips on things that I should look for during the barganing process. I have never owned any kind of rv before and am not at all farmilliar with the plumbing and wiring. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Clayton
  5. Hello there I am in the process of purchasing a 1978 Toyota Dolphin with 62k miles on the odometer. I believe that it is a 16ft (possibly18ft). This will be my first RV of any kind. I have read some about the rear axle troubles on the older ones. The current owners had the rear axle bearings replaced last season. The tires are in good shape i have not looked at the spare yet though. The drive train does not appear to have any major leaks. It has been covered every winter. It looks great inside and out any advice would be appreciated. Such as things to check out closley before completing the purchase. I am friends with the seller and he is a meticulious person who I trust, however I just dont know much about the water/ electrical systems of rv's. Thanks in advance, Clayton
  6. I have 1156 (S25-36led lights) base led lights I use for backup lights on my lifted truck. They are superwhite and have 36 led bulbs. I previously had xenon 1156 bulbs and these led's are about twice as bright(in my estimation). I bought them from www.ledlight.com they are $13.99 each and the SKU# is 49785W1165. I might add that I have bough quite a few other led lights from these guys and thay are good to deal with. I have led sidemarker lights, 1157's, interior lights, and bulbs on the exterior of my house they have all worked flawlessly. The only other thing that I will say is that these 1156's are a VERY intense light. They also offer softer color led's that would be better suited to interior use. When I back out of my driveway they light up the house across the street like a bright flashlight. I will soon own a 78 dolphin and plan to change the DC bulbs also. This should be the link to the exact bulbs I have. There are some more powerful options also http://www.ledlight.com/s25-36-super-bright-led-light.aspx Good luck, Clayton
