  1. Thank you so much! No need for more pics. I will give one of these a shot!
  2. I have a Toyota Odyssey motor home that has windows (or window latches, at least) made by an (apparently shuttered) company called Sun Valley Products. One of my widows is missing the latch. (More specifically, it is missing the piece that one pulls and pushes to "lock" the window from being slid open from the outside of the RV.) In the attached pic it is the piece with the "Sun Valley Products" writing on it. Does anyone have one of these for sale? Or know where I can find one? Or know of anything that will do the trick in its place? Thanks in advance.
  3. Just want to close the loop on this topic, for the benefit of anyone who might come across this issue. The portion of the PA title application (MV-41) that requires the vehicle's unladen weight is NOT in one of the sections of the form that requires a licensed mechanic's signature. Whatever unladen weight is written onto the form will appear on the title. (Obviously the unladen weight should be less than the GVWR.)
  4. Thank you for this info. My dome light has a three position switch, and I am familiar with how they work. I have tested the light in all three positions, and I also tested it by opening and closing the driver's door. The driver's door switch appears to be wired. I will have to get a voltmeter and start troubleshooting logically, but I have a hunch that it is going to come down to that cut wire. Thx!
  5. The dome light in my cab doesn't work. I have tried multiple bulbs. I have not yet put a meter on the fixture to check for electricity (because I don't own a meter), nor have I checked/replaced the relevant fuse. But I have done some reading and have learned that the 'key in ignition' warning noise (and possible also a seatbelt reminder) are tied to the dome light, and I don't have these other noises/warnings so I am fairly certain a prior owner's modification is my issue (rather than no power at the fixture). There is a wire behind the driver's side kick panel that has been cut. (see attached pics) This wire is actually two separate wires - one has an all black sheath and the other has a black sheath with a white stripe - that run parallel to one another and whose sheaths are connected (see pic). (FWIW, all of the wiring behind the kick panel appears to be original, except for the large black thing at the bottom of the first pic - which is related to a backup camera connected to the radio head unit. The cut wire can be seen in the first pic lying between the beige and yellow connectors. The second pic is a close-up of the cut wire(s)). Any ideas what these cut wires are? Or what they used to be connected to? Or what I can do to put humpty dumpty back together so that it (hopefully) gives me back my dome light? Thanks in advance!
  6. Hi. I've looked for and seen a few posts that touch on this topic, but have not found a real answer, so I am posting here. New to this forum - apologies if the answer is here and I missed it. I would like to purchase a Toyota Odyssey motor home and register it in my home state of PA. The vehicle is currently titled elsewhere. In order to get it titled/registered in PA, I must provide a PA MV-41 form signed by a PA inspection mechanic that verifies both the vehicle's GVWR AND the vehicle's unladen weight. There is a sticker inside the driver's door of the cab indicating that the vehicle was manufactured by Leisure Odyssey, Inc., and this sticker contains the GVWR (5500lbs). Nowhere does this sticker (or anywhere else I can find) state the vehicle's unladen weight. (The sticker also states the GAWRs for the front and rear axles, but those are irrelevant for purposes of this post). My fear is that without the unladen weight posted, a PA mechanic will require that the vehicle go to a weigh station in order to determine its unladen weight, and that even if I get it on a scale with all tanks empty and almost no fuel, that the unladen weight will exceed the GVWR. (The camper portion was previously demolished and completely rebuilt, and my guess is that its unladen weight is greater than what the unladen weight was when it rolled off the Odyssey manufacturing line.) Does anyone have experience with PA and this form? What happens if the unladen weight were to exceed the GVWR? Do you think this situation will prevent me from being able to register this vehicle in PA? Thank you in advance for your help here.
