Hello. 1st winter here as an owner. After reading all of this. I went down to the rv shop to buy supplies; they told me that I should just blow the lines out after draining and to just drain the hot water heater. Cautioned me to make sure that all water lines were open when doing it to avoid damaging them. I then remembered that I had talked to one other person who said this is all they used to do when owning an rv. Sure seems the way to go. Anyone had a problem with this? Makes sense..no water, no freeze. thanks, gmac

Hello, need to figure out the tire thing here myself. My motorhome has 195R 14C Load range D tires on it already. I really only need 3 (2 for the front and a spare) They are tough to find. I see several people have 185R 14C tires and some indicate that these are a load range D as well. Can a guy switch from 195 to 185r? Are they easier to find if so? Is one better than the other for a 21 foot model use? Am I seeing different results because of the variance in toyota motorhome sizes (18 - 21ft)?

Hello, I am trying to get my hot water heater going on my 84 new horizon. Cant get the pilot to light. Can anyone help?

I went to AutoZone and had my house battery tested because it wasnt holding a charge. They said, bad battery and gave me a new one. It was the biggest battery they had. (I didnt challenge their judgement) I have since learned it is not a deep cycle battery, rather a regular battery. Keeping in mind the house battery starts the built in generator, should I make sure I have a deep cycle battery?

Hello, I'm looking for someone to install either a rear bumper & hitch (& possibly a small rack). All I want to be able to haul is a storage tub (or small scooter) and bikes off the hitch. I have seen several on my 2yr search for a toyota motorhome. Now that I have my rig, I cant find anyone to weld something on for me due to liability concerns. Anyone had a welder do this for them? If so, how close to Lincoln, NE was it? Who knows, might be worth a road trip, I do get excellent fuel economy for a road trip. thanks gmac

Thanks for the info. The ac was running when it shut off (however I didnt shut it off). Since the day I posted this, I have only been able to start the generator once for about 5 minutes, otherwise havent been able to get it started. I detached the fuel line and hit the start button, fuel pump didnt pull anything, was thinking I might need a new fuel pump and it was going out slowly..........?? What is bridge rectifier failure? How is it repaired? Thanks gmac

Greetings. i have an 84 new horizon with built in onan generator. Ran 20 - 30 minutes today while i ran the ac, then shut off and wouldnt start back up (the gas tank was full too ruling out the generator shutting off when the fuel tank gets to half). I left it running in the driveway to make sure it would run while driving down the road. Can anyone help? gmac
