  1. All I have is the dog bone wheel nut tool from the tool kit.I want to get them correct ,tight. And also ,I am planning on putting never-seize on the studs. When I took them off they were super tight and had to use my foot to push on wheel wrench to get most loose.I do not like useing a impact and just hammering the crap out of them.Lug nuts are 23 mm.Thanks for any advice.
  2. I have read on here about the last 4-numbers showing the week/year that a tire was made and I have some old tires laying around that read this way..Really simple!Has the DOT changed the format? I have my 6 rims at a place getting new 8-ply coopers put on.I looked at the codes when droping them off and crap,DOT code differant.I have coopers on other cars I own so this is the code on my cooper discover tires I bought last spring for my Wrangler.DOT UT1T C8E.This is how the codes look on the new ones also. That is all I can see on either side wall..So how do you read this code?
  3. I see this will not matter much, year wise.I ran my vin. and see mine is a 91 not a 92 like all paper work shows.Anyway I looked at my dash and it looks like the panel around radio covers a large area of the dash,is this correct. And how hard do you have to pull outward with a pick to get it to release from clips? Thanks for a reply.
  4. This may just be it!The glove box route was a deadend..64 degrees in N.E Iowa today was a good day to wrench. Thanks maineah
  5. ??? never thought about looking there, will check it out. This thing is harder to work on than my Goldwing, and they came from the same soil...
  6. Hey,Mcshank. Thanks for the reply.I looked all over the net last night and called six tire dealers here local and what I went with were,Cooper SRM2 #64305.They are 185R14 in 8 ply.I got a quote of $89.56 per tire plus $6.00 each for stems and mounted and balanced. The price I was given for Nexen was $74.88 per tire, same rated tire.I think the coopers will be a better tire for a little more $$$.
  7. I take knobs off and see where the nuts are on control shafts...but how does the dash come apart? The panel under radio does not give access ether. How the hech does it come out?I am only getting AM and tape player works ok,just no FM.
  8. Well I am a newbie and posted to soon.I have found all the info for tires I think I will need,I hope.Looks like a great site! This site is the same format as Hardcoresledder.com ,If you snowmobile and have not looked at the site check it out.
  9. I just picked up this neat little camper.29,000 miles. Very very clean. But tires are needing replaced and all I can see on side wall is 185R14,6 ply.I need to know what I need for the correct width, like 65R14 or 75R14.There are duals on the rear. The tires are original and from Japan so they do not show the USA tire size I assume.
