They are not supposed to leak. In fact you can be cited in many jurisdictions if they are leaking onto a public street. When the handles are pushed in they are closed. They are inexpensive to replace or rebuild. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/produ...gate-seals/1713
Yeah you were right! I did the job yesterday, I replaced both valves with new ones and problem is solved. It's like new now, no dripping anymore.

Is it normal that the 2 traps of the waste and rinse water tanks are leaking? My waste tank manage to go empty in about a week and it was over a 1/4...
I'm talking about the 2 traps under the motorhome you have to open when you flush your grey and black water tanks...

Hey! I'd love to see pictures of it... cause I bought an 89 odyssey too about 1 month ago!!! You can see pictures of mine here: http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=1784

How 'bout a little more info. What kind of glue? Was this applied over paneling? My "wood" paneling seems to have a wood grain vinyl finish, will wall paper stick to it? I like what you did. Mike
Hi! I installed it right over the old wallpaper. I didn't used any glue, it was preglued wallpaper. it took me about 4 hours to install it correctly and taking care to stick it everywhere without bubbles of air.

Anyone knows where I can get all mirrors with arms and everything? Mine are rusted and I'd like to replace everything with stainless steel ones.... if they exists.

looks really clean. Nice rig.
I agree that rear box thing is a bit ugly. It looks quite heavy too. But it is homemade which is always cool. Adding more stuff/weight to the rear doesn't seem necessary or desirable to me even tho I know a lot of ppl have carriers back there.
it has been removed anyway.

Took it home yesterday.
Had to do 400 miles to get it home.
We had 2 problems. First, it was undriveable over 45 miles/hour. Found out there was more than a pint of water in the front right tire. Now it's going GREAT!
Second, there is an alternator problem not charging enough... we had to replace the battery in the engine after 175 miles. We stopped for gas and it wasn't starting anymore... we had enough power to get home...
I'll have the alternator replaced soon and a good tune-up! It will be perfect condition! Everything else it working great.
By the way, I removed that ugly wood cabinet on the rear bumper. It was rotting and getting loose and dangerous. I'll probably install a light plastic box there.

Sorry Sir..
Bad attempt at a joke. Back when I was a kid, there were pictures of rivers, streams , waterfalls that the water illustrated appeared to move . It was done by some sort of an electrical device in behind the picture. That particular picture on the wall of your rig reminded me of those. I was fascinated by the process back then.
Sorry again at the attempt of humor.
Ohhhhh ok, I get it! hahaha!! I'll replace that picture as soon as I have the Toy at my house... I'll get it on april 10th. I'll try to find what you're talking about and place it there! hahaha!

That is a two-fer in my opinion! Great price and great condition ! Just one question though. That waterfall picture ain't one of those things that you turn on a switch and it appears the water is moving, is it ?
I don't understand your question...

Yours looks nice!
I have the same year Odyssey...with almost identical layout. I'm rebuilding the cab-over section now...
Really? I'd love to see some pictures of yours.

Dennis...
I'm from Québec, Canada... and yeah I think I got a good deal, I'll be posting lots of pictures when I'll have it at my house... it's still in the snow, I have to wait that all snow is gone away before going to take it to my house. SOrry for my bad english, I'm french-canadian.

hahahaha!! NICE!!!! That is personnalized Toy!!!! Love it!

Chris--What part of Canada are you in. I'm in B.C. south of Vancouver.
Looking for a motor home too. The best bet is in the U.S. since something magical happens when they hit our border and the price doubles.
Steve
I'm from Québec. And I'm french-canadian.... I'm not really as good as I would have to to go in the USA and buy a motorhome there... since english is not my first language, I'm not really at ease with dealing. I can write english quite not bad.... but when I'm talking it people look at me like I'm stupid... anyway...
I've seen some in the us, yeah they're good looking and price is really good. But I found one over here that looks good and good price. I'm waiting for spring to try it on the road. it's a 1989 Odyssey 21 feet, 88000 km on it. They're asking 8000$ for it and I think I could get it for 7000$. What you think about that?
