i'm currently purchasing 1983 sunrader. i stumbled across this website and was amazed by the expertise as well as the community vibe i would be very grateful if someone had information regarding a few questions that i have.
the current condtion of the truck is:
1. 83,000 miles
2. new clutch
3. new transmission
4. 5 speed up grade from 4
5. newer axl (but not the 6 lug upgrade)
6. a little rust under the hood (no mucho)
if the truck had such low mileage why did it need all those major parts replaced?
whats the ball park estimate on the axl upgrade?
would it make sense to get it lifted?
i'm getting a screaming deal because the camper is in need of a lot of work. the drivers side part of the bunk leaks
9no mucho) and i will need to replace most of the paneling. nothing that i don't think could be fixed by myself. i am however going to be living/travelling in it and would like for it to be safe to drive in the winter (mountain passes and some snow). i have yet to see the vehical because of location but i do have friends checking it out, as well as a mechanic, but would love to hear a fellow tripsters opinon. i appreciate the help and
