Hey Neptune, nice looking chinook! Im a new owner of a chinook aswell and have spent some time trying to do some research on it. I managed to track down a link to the scans of the actual owners manual!!! I found it searching thru the yahoo group. Hello, I really want to paint my chinook camper but am on a tight budget. I was looking for any ideas on how to do a low budget paint job. I have heard of using Tremclad rust paint thinned with mineral spirits using a roller. The results looked pretty good. Does anyone know how it would go on fiberglass? What should I do do prep the camper shell? Wash and dry it? Sand it? Any ideas would be helpful as Im never painted fiberglass before. Thanks for you time!

I have read about the axle defects on toyota motorhomes. I still cant figure out if a Chinook camper (about 14 ft.) on a 3/4 axle is a problem or not? It seems to me that the axle defects are more prone for the longer/heavier campers? Any advice? Many thanks!
