  1. Thanks Dennis, Well, we couldn't get up in there ourselves and found a local shop that would hoist up HaRVey (89 Odyssey) and check it out. They had to drop the tank - (previous owners had tried to fix it apparently too) and the shop said there were actually spacers added above the tank and the hose from the tank had to partially go around some metal bracing... in other words they had to get another hose with an elbow, etc. to get clearance.... So the new hose isn't original toyota... but they did an excellent job. The other hoses were ok & they put new clamps on them etc. Plus, since CA has this new smog requirement as of 01/08 that requires a pressure test into the gas tank, HaRVey would have failed - and they went ahead and replaced the old hoses above the gas tank... (all together just $330.... yikes! It's the labor!!!!!) Proof of the pudding, when you take the gas cap off you hear the sound of pressure releasing!!! Yes! It is definitely fixed and of course we poured gas into it just in case... So off we go tomorrow. I hope your receipe works for you. Larisa
  2. 1989 Odyssey - Our challenge is a leak in the fuel intake hose. It's so tight in there to get the hose off the tank. Go figure that the RV repairs said they couldn't see anything wrong with it - they just didn't want to mess with it. Anyway, last trip, every time the tank was filled it spilled fuel on the gas station floor... & we'd sure like to fix it b4 the next trip in a couple of weeks. Any tips? Thank you!
