well, it's not really a project yet, more like early day-dream stage. the Sunrader does not fit my needs. why do you think it will get tricky? what do you suppose will cause the complications? have you had any experience with something similar? Thanks!

It's not a unibody. There's a seal in the first picture as well, it's just well hidden. The main concern is the frame length. Anyone have any experience? Thanks!

I saw a few photos here on the site of what looked to be a custom job of someone who put a chinook pop-top camper on a 91 regular cab pick-up. Anyone have any idea what it would take to do something similar? I have a 78 chinook on a 78 2wd pickup with a 20r and I'd like to go 4x4. The 91-95 pick-ups with the injected 22re seem like a good option. I thought of doing something similar to Nolan's Brownie, but really I don't have the time(or skill). If I can just pop the camper on to another truck with minimal fabrication then that maybe the way. Would I need to modify the frame? Ideas? FROM THIS>>> INTO THIS>>>

I just picked up a 78 Chinook poptop with 88k original miles....I know there's a TON of stuff on the rear axle here .....but I need to know if I should be thinking about changing mine? I have the 5lug "non-floating" axle and single rear tire set-up. I've heard a few conflicting things and I'd like to hear from anyone with experience...since it's under 18' should I not worry?....or is this something that I should do right away? If so....where can I find one? THANKS GANG!!
