  1. I thought about trying to pull a rail but once you look at the rear of a RV the frame is not that sturdy. I think its a bad idea.
  2. I have scene a seat belt frame built with angle iron but I am pretty sure that there is a sticker in the dolphin that says "its against safety rule for a person the ride in back" or something like that. I don't think its a good idea. I will take a picture of the sticker.
  3. were you at? I can find those axles all day long in phoenix. the toyota flatbed bullys will work too.
  4. Most people seem to look for the bathroom in the rear. But I have the other layout and the tanks are by the axle
  5. i would just buy a new one I had a really bad propane leak with with my old rig it blew up Heres a pic. http://tomjordanphoto.com/green_man/pages/BURNING_071.htm
  6. That would be cool this is a great we site for that stuff. I think it may be a little over kill http://www.advanceadapters.com/ fun project
  7. The 87 would be my choice but the 92 is a better deal. I would say 1000 dollars more is worth 60000 miles. Good luck
  8. That souds like a great deal. When was the Clutch done and why was the motor replaced in the first place? I though mind did not leak but it does a little bit around the AC. Buy it
  9. This is were I got my info had to do it twice but I think they are right on http://toyota.off-road.com/toyota/article/...l.jsp?id=186494
  10. The rock crawling world runs all there 22r with propane conversion kits from this guy http://www.gotpropane.com/ The work great and can run at any angle at 110 octane but are not street legal I dont think I would recommend it on a motorhome.
  11. Got it fixed! I took out the thermostat and it still got hot turns out my clutch on my fan was bad so I just welded it together and it works great now. I think I will order a flex light but I just drove 70 miles and never even can close to the center of the heat gauge. right at 180 happy thanksgiving
  12. Thanks for the info its a four speed manual. I think the breaks work great better than my other truck or course I have not towed anything yet. The truck is still warming up more than it should So I need to figure that out first. thanks
  13. Just wondering what kind of thermostat you are running in a 22r. 180 or 190. I have a 18 or 20 foot dolphin with a 22r. I just did lots of motor work and when I drive on the freeway it wants to heat up past the center of gauge not enough it over heat but it gets lots hotter than my 22r in the crawler with 39s. When I took the motor apart I noticed it did not have a thermostat at all. i just changed the water pump, thermostat, all hoses and head gasket flushed the radiator a few times and had the head checked. I have probably put one take of gas since I fixed it and it runs great other wise. any ides do I need a new bigger radiator, Flex light or ???? Thanks Tom
  14. I know about the week frame in the rear I may just build a separate crossmember off the truck frame. Thanks
  15. I just recently picked up a toyota dolphin with 130000 miles a blown head gasket and mangled timing chain for 1000 dollars. I dumped 400 dollars into it and got it running enough to pass emission and get titled. My question is what is the towing capacity of a toyota dolphin with 22r and 4sd transmission its the 1 ton version. I know it cant be much but I was going to fab up a hitch this weekend. My guess would be no more than 1000 pounds. It surprised me how peppy it was when I finally got to drive it thought it would be much slower. Thank you here is a shot of my last rig that burned down over labor day it was a 1952 yellow stone that My wife and I fixed up proably about 300 hours labor http://tomjordanphoto.com/green_man/pages/BURNING_071.htm
