  1. I’m wondering if it is okay to drive with my potable water tank full? My airbags above the tires that are supposed to lift the cab up when it’s fully loaded, do not hold air.

I just filled up my potable water tanks and I’m wondering if it’s safe for me to drive for a few hours up north. Or are you supposed to find a potable spigot when you get there?

    Thoughts?

Having trouble figuring out what the problem is here.  I had all the electricity working (off the 12v battery) and now it is not working after screwing the control panel back on.  I have a brand new deep cycle battery hooked up.  I removed the control panel to replace some old connectors because the wires were falling out of them and not making good contact.  After that everything was still working.  There was a black wire that fell out and was hanging there so I stripped it down and exposed some fresh wire and plugged it back in.  I'm not sure what the problem is now but nothing is working anymore. Off the battery that is.  Here are some pictures below.  The water pump light doesn't come on anymore either.  I'm not sure which wire that is.  Anyway.  All the lights on the panel still light up though.

We were up north camping and I bought a new battery.  I hooked it up and nothing would work.  Then the next day after plugging things into outlets and flipping switches, I noticed that a ceiling light was on.  This was when I decided to check the wires behind the control panel.

  3. Yeah. Mine is plug in or propane only. I tested them both out and it gets the fridge just under 40 when I plug in and freezer super freezing cold under 20. Can’t remember where. Maybe around 0. The same when I tested the propane.

it does say not to fill the propane over 80% full on the tank and the flap door, but when I Got it filled they filled it until they couldn’t anymore so it’s on the “Full” mark on the meter. Someone told me that means it’s 80% full. I’m not sure. I just know the OPD wouldn’t let anymore propane go in.

  4. I have tried many times to get the fridge started.  It does say in the original manual that it needs to be serviced after sitting for a while.  I think I almost had the pilot light lit twice because I heard the loud noise, but then I got spooked, screamed and let go of the gas button.  You have to hold it down for 10 seconds to make sure the pilot light stays lit.

I follow the directions to the T.  I have tried many times and have yet to be successful.  I think it's $160 an hour to have someone at the RV place look at it.

I just want to know I'm doing it correctly in the first place.  I see a faint yellow light and then it turns to a blue.  It's very faint I can barely see it.  I think I hear something for a few seconds, but then the sound goes away. I guess I might possibly need a new/used fridge but want to make sure it's not human error before I buy one.

I haven't tried to run it off of an electric plug yet.  I don't know if I can do that by plugging it into the extension cord that goes to my house or what.  Does anyone know if there's a way for me to test the fridge to make sure it works before I go out and buy one?

Also, obviously I've only been trying to use fridge off of the propane tank I have filled up.

  5. Well I got it hooked back up.  Anytime I move the pvc tube that connects to the toilet in the slightest the water sprays out of it.  I sort of think that rubber thing was some kind of piece that was supposed to be inside.  Kind of like a washer or something.  I think it got all messed up when I put the toilet back in after I had taken it out to do the floor.

But as long as I don't touch, wiggle or move the pipe/tube in the slightest, it doesn't leak or spray out any water.

  6. Oh! Thank you.  Sorry about that.

So I got some new connector ends and put them on the wires that connect to the switch on the control panel and the pump wouldn't work (didn't make noise).  So I hooked up the 12V battery directly to the pump like I did this morning.  The pump still wouldn't come on or make noise (but it worked this morning/made noise).

I sat there confused for a couple minutes and all the sudden the pump began running for a about two seconds and then shut off.  Then I began draining some water out of the tank from the side thing that's outside.  The pump came back on while I was doing that.  When I closed it so water wouldn't drain the pump would shut off.  When I would open it the pump would start running. Then when I went inside and turned on the water at the sink it did not come on.  It never came back on.  It's weird. By the way when I say the pump stopped working I mean stopped making noise.  So I'm not sure if it's still working when it isn't making noise 😄

I'm now wondering if the pump motor is going bad, or is it supposed to just come on and off intermittently like that? That's not normal is it?

  7. Well....when I took the panel off the wall and had it hanging there, here is what I did.  I'm an idiot so I tried to connect the 12V battery to the positive and negative wires that go to the water pump on/off switch.  That created a spark immediately on the battery terminal.  So I quit doing that, and just connected the deep cycle battery back where it goes in the cab pocket area.  All the sudden I hear water gushing out of the toilet so I turn off the water pump.

So now the water pump is working! Yay!

So maybe there was a short in the wire, the switch is bad, or one of the wires wasn't making contact to complete the circuit.  I will go back and check the wires in the control panel as soon as I solve my toilet issue.  I started another "Topic" or "Thread" on that.  Once I get the toilet to stop gushing water I can go back and test the wires in the control panel 😄

Thanks for all your help guys!
