  1. Thanks all for your advice. I am looking into that water tank heater as that sounds like a winner.
  2. Hello everyone! I have a 1986 Dolphin and my wife and I will be spending the winter in it near Terre Haute Indiana. My question is if I have access to city water that is setup not to freeze should I drain my fresh tank or leave it full? I guess I'm thinking about how to get the anti freeze in there without it getting into the rest of the system.
  3. Yep mine looks like an 800. 1986 instead of 1988 but it seems to look pretty much the same.
  4. Thanks for the reply John. No drivers side small access door. Just the doors for the water tank fill, coach battery and ac hookup cord storage. No way to reach under via those doors. My Dolphin has the kitchen sink and stove just behind the drivers side seat if that matters.
  5. Hello everyone! I have a 1986 Dolphin and was wondering if someone could tell me how the grey water tank is connected to the inside water system? I just had one of the two metal straps that hold the tank to the underside snap and now the grey water tank is sagging down about 3-4 inches lower than normal. It was the strap that is closest to the grey and black water valve assembly. I am now getting some water leaking from what looks to be the top side of the grey water tank. I'm hoping all I need to do is replace the strap and tighten it up to where it was and all will be fine. Any help/insight would be appreciated.
  6. Hi fellow rv'ers. I have a 1986 Toyota Dolphin with a Dometic rm2400 fridge. Been using it on AC as the spark from the ignitor wasn't strong enough to light the burner. Before a recent trip I found I could manually light the burner and then the fride worked great on propane. However when we got to our destination we wanted to run the fridge off AC. So I hooked up to AC and switched the control on the Dometic from gas to electric. The next morning we were going to have some cereal and got the milk out of the fridge and quickly noticed the milk wasn't real cold. We had ice in the freezer and it was pretty much melted. I checked to be sure there was AC available where the fridge was plugged in and the was 120 volts AC present. The Ac option has always worked fine up until running it on propane and switching back to AC. Any one have any thoughts on this? Thanks, Vic.
  7. Turns out I have a blown alternator. =( Oh well, better I found it now than on the road.
  8. It's been doing this for a couple weeks now. It did stop for 3-4 days and now starting today the brake/charge lights just stay on. The coach battery seems fully charged. Thanks for the input so far though. Gives me stuff to look at. =)
  9. Hello everyone. I have a 1986 Toyota Dolphin that has the Charge and Brake light coming on and then going off. There a relay clicks when they go on and a relay clicks when they go off. They do this together. The emergency brake is not on. The battery connections seem okay. The rv brakes okay. Now they both just stay on all the time. Bad relay maybe? Any one else here ever see this?
  10. Thanks for the replies. The link was very helpful.
  11. Hi everyone. My wife and I have a Toyorta Dolphin and we live in Chicago. We would like to take it out to some parks in Northern Illinois at least once a month through the winter months here. Any tips on how to prepare the Dolphin to do that? It can get as cold as -20 in January here. This is our first rv and we just got it June of this year. It has a working generator and the furnace also works fine. Thanks.
