  1. hahaha, true. I just rolled up to my parents' house for a few days and since the door exploded last week on a trip to Oklahoma, I have no option but to go for it!
  2. Howdy y'all. I'm always trying to think of ways to make my dolphin look better and my inside paneling is looking a bit rough. Kind of yellowing where it should be white and after many roof leaks the paneling is starting to crack in places. I thought I might put a nice thick coat of KILZ on it and then paint it a soothing, very light green color. Anything I should know before I do this? thanks and greetings from the lone star state!
  3. thanks as always guys...as someone else said, since I am on the road with no permanent home it looks like the wife and I will be settling for living with it right now. I can say I got it unstuck so at least it opens and closes again...
  4. Enough water and snow and ice has deteriorated my poor Dolphins main side entrance door and luckily it is stuck shut but what I am wondering is where do I go from here? My wife and I are tired of crawling in through the front doors. Thanks!
  5. Thanks y'all. I didn't really want to admit this but I guess this is the point of a forum...it just needed anti-freeze. I feel like an idiot! haha I rebuilt two old cars before I graduated highschool. I thought of everything you suggested and the other day when it was like 8 degrees and a blizzard was blowing across Washington State, I decided that I was gonna see how much steam I could get to pop out of that radiator. So I grabbed a towel and I braced myself and there was nothing. Not even a pop or a bubble. So I poured this small amount of antifreeze in that I had in my rig and I started her up to drive to get more and instantly, the Dolphin cooled off, idled better than it has in weeks, and the heater blew hotter air! Amazing! I went to O'Reilly's and got more antifreeze. Topped her off and perfect. Just remember, sometimes it actually is an easy fix! Here's my two biggest complaints. I was just in a Jiffy Lube the day before getting my service and the kid said he checked all the fluids and everything looked good. Also, recently when the Toyota overheated I saw anti-freeze come out from under the car. So I just assumed it had antifreeze and it was either a clog or my thermostat. Anyways, all is well now. Thanks again!
  6. Hello everyone! Thanks again for the constant help. My wife and I are doing a major cross-country trip and the engne temperature gauge is starting to run hot. When we are on the highway in cold montana it stays in the middle of the gauge but after about 10 minutes in town it is in the red. I have been to a few auto parts stores and everyone tells me something different but I am just trying to start with the most obvious and go from there. This is our home right now so I am trying to do the least invasive fix and work our way up from there. thanks in advance for your help! kerry
  7. Thank y'all very much for the replies. I think I will try the easier stuff myself and if that doesn't work I will whip the wallet out!
  8. Hi, a few weeks ago I could plug my Dolphin in or run it off of propane and the heater blew hot air just fine. Now whether I light it manually or if I plug in, the heater blows air but it isn't heated air. Now I am traveling cross country and it is getting cold so I need to figure this out fast. Any suggestions? thanks
  9. Hi, I have a 1985 Toyota Dolphin from National RV with the old 5 lug axle. Is this one one of the recalled axles and if so will they repair it for free? thanks,
