  1. Hello everyone! Been a member from the first day I purchased my 1989 Seabreeze (National and Toyota) in 2014. First time to post but enjoyed a lot reading the posts. I recently moved to Portland OR and I am looking forward to meeting some owners in parks. I had some miss fire problem after purchase. It turned out to be the blocked fuel injectors due to long term (2+ year) storage of the RV (rust in the fuel tank) and failed fuel filter. Luckly, my mechanics fixed them and it has gained a few thousand miles without any problem. During the trip with miss fire issue, the hot muffler pipe (the holding clamp was broken) became in contact with the black water tank and burned large holes (~10 in long and 1 inch wide) as shown in the pictures. Based on my limited research, the tank is probably made of polyethylene and my two options are 1) plastic welding or 2) tank replacement. I have not asked quote yet. Could anyone provide some suggestions which way I should go? I looked at tank a few times when getting to underneath the motorhome. I am not confident that I can DIY. If I buy a replacement tank, where can I find one? Thanks for reading.
  2. Hi all, Hoping for some friendly advice. I won't be too needy.. just trying to not re-invent the wheel. The knowledge is here, and if you don't mind sharing, would appreciate it. Considering an '86 Seabreeze with 76,000 miles. Automatic. Seller says this... "One airbag has a pinhole in it and doesnt stay full. The battery for the box has trouble keeping a charge. There its some water damage on the drivers side above the loft bed at the corner of the ceiling and the wall." Besides that, it seems to be clean and in nice condition from the pics. Questions: 1. How big a deal is this airbag issue... fixable? better to just replace? how expensive? 2. What are some of the main things we should check for? Common gremlins? 3. Is the automatic tranny a dealbreaker? There seems to be a pref here for the manual? Will stop there for fear of drawing wrath... hoping I can contribute at some point, but thanks in advance for any advice. Mike
