  1. Sorry if this an absurd question, or if it’s been asked before. What exactly does it mean “get the Full-Float“? Will any dually full float axle work? I feel like I’ve looked at every forum post and can’t come up with a clear answer. I’m pretty sure my rig is a 2wd 1980 18’ Sunrader. I know I have the bad axle, but not what will work to replace it. Any help getting pointed in the right direction is appreciated.
  2. Hi all! I’m new here. I just bought an ‘80 Sunrader and I’m having all sorts of trouble finding a manual or any sort of relevant info. The thing is a frankenstein for sure. It’s a flatbed conversion, with a non-dually 5-lug rear. Got a 21r with 70k which I believe was swapped in in the early 2000s. My plan is to rebuild the flatbed and build a hoop house on top (bent wood battens sheathed in ply and fiberglassed). I’ll bend up some steel sheet for a doghouse over the cab and weld it to the roof. The idea is to have a pass through work van! Right now I’m doing little maintenance things, working on deleting all emissions and most vac lines, and I have a new Weber carb on the way. I’m wary of going any further with the improvements until I have a factory service manual though. Any resources would be appreciated! Thanks, Rowan
  3. Hello! I am new to the forum. Anyone have any experience with the 1980 Dolphin model with the dead axle? I have been on the search for a new mh -- specifically a dolphin. I am aware of the recommendations to upgrade the rear axle from a 5 over to a 6 lug 1ton ff; and so I have been searching appropriately until I found a couple instances of this 1980 model with the dead (aka lazy) axle. I was considering changing tires would be facilitated without the dual tire axle. Not sure the axle situation with this model, I have only seen photos and none up close. Recommendations?
