If I keep my 22r I will be doing this. Where did you find everything? And beautiful pup. I have a red nose. She's the best dog.

It sounds to me like you're having an issue with air flow. What's the ambiant temp?

I'm wanting to know if it's worth the effort and cost compared to just swapping a Toyota v8. I want to be able to keep up with traffic on the highway, pull my boat easily and still get decent mileage. I know the om617 can handle more boost but there's also not a ton of things you can do to hop up the horsepower.

For some thing that old I doubt it. it's not a real tough retrofit. What do you have for a system?
I'm honestly not sure it's just the factory system. I assume it's in the breaker fuse block. Was hoping for a converter/inverter combo but the cost is far out of the budget

Looking at your low and high pressure you could get away with adding a smidge more freon. Bring the rpm up to 2k or close and see what the low side drops off to. If the compressor cycles you can add more till it stops

Awesome thank you maineah are there any direct fit upgrades?

I've found one old thread that never got finished about this. Looking to see if it's worth it or if I should just stick with my original plan of a 1uz. Any input would be great. Have a few om's coming up for auction near me

If I have my breakers on so I can use shore or gen power all my D/c power gets turned off. None of the lights work, water pump, ect. Is it supposed to be this way or is something wrong.

@85Diesel I know this is an old thread but any update? I'm just north of you in Redmond and there's an auction on some om617s coming up and I'd love to know if this is worth while.

The v8 to be used would be a 1uz out of a Lexus ls400. Could keep my trans or used the auto.
