  1. Thank you, so I figured as much and I also came across an adapter that was already in my toy from 30 amp to regular 110 outlet   :)  Home Depot has a 2000 watt Lifan on sale until 8/24 for an incredible low price of $319.  Costco has one that has a Yamaha engine for $499 but I'm concerned about how quiet it will run as it says 65 dBC where the Lifan says 57 I think.  And it's hard to beat that price but a lot of times you get what you pay for. Hondas are very expensive

  2. Good morning,  so I've been looking at inverter generators.   I have the 7100 mini Mach coleman ac unit so I'm thinking a 2000 watt will work fine.

My question is this, and I have no experience with generators so it may be a stupid question.   Some have the 30 amp plug and others have two 120 plugs.  I'm thinking I have to buy one with the 30 amp plug, but I know alot of you have the Honda and they look to only have the two 120 outlets.

Thank you again for any knowledge you can inspire me with :)

  3. Everything is super dry now, middle of summer central valley in California.   Along with the maxx fan and the vent I also ordered an AC gasket. The person I purchased from said her dad had taken the air conditioner off and sealed the leak and it looks like it has a new gasket but I'd rather not leave it to chance and go ahead and get the AC off and put a new gasket in and make sure that the sealant whatever I may use is all the way under the edge of the AC because there is a sag there.

I'll have to talk to him some more because of it being an aluminum roof this is what he suggested, I know he uses other stuff too.  He said he's used the silicone on about 15 other rigs and had great results?  I'd actually like to do it myself so I know that it's done right but the ac is definitely beyond my capabilities in lifting it. :(  and time is somewhat of a factor as well it would be nice just to pay somebody and have it done right

  4. Looks like it has been painted before, has some sagging but even though feels  very solid.   I sent a message to the guy to see what he planned on using, I was just a little concerned that he may be suggesting something that's not good.  I don't want to make more work for myself as I already have a huge job ahead of me.

  5. Need advice here as I don't want to make any mistakes.   My toy has minor water damage in several areas of the rig.  I'm currently in process of restoring the inside myself.

I purchased a Maxx fan deluxe and a new vent for over the bathroom,  the front over the cab bigger vent looks fairly new, also got a new ac gasket.   I had a guy come out to give me a quote on installing and sealing my aluminum roof.   He suggested a liquid silicone roof after primer.

Has anyone had a silicone roof put on over the aluminum roof?   Is this the way to go?

    Thanks Sherri

  6. Thank you mark, I'm just starting and hoping to turn what is pretty much a hot mess into my little dream machine.   It's terribly hot here so only get an hour or two in the morning on weekends, so far starting on the interior. I've got all the cabinets off the hinges and beginning my painting, and my aunt is recovering my cushions.  I have a long way to go and my eyes hurt from reading so much trying to get ideas and information   :)

Currently looking for ideas for the shower area, believe it or not it's wallpaper on top of plywood.

  7. Happy to say that I've just become part of this family, I purchased my 1986 Toyota Dolphin on Monday. She is going to be a work in progress runs great, 72000 original miles, interior is all original and not terrible but this is something that I want to do eventually. My concern is sealing it up it does have some water damage near the air conditioning and the roof vent. The window seals are all Crusty and shrunken.   Major concern is the roof on top is kind of sagging and the fiberglass siding is like flaky as well. Wondering what do you use around the window seals information on where to get this stuff, want to do like a Flex Seal type roof redo. Do I have to go in and redo the wood and somehow lift the ceiling up it's not bad on the inside but it does dip on the top any input would be great.  also looking at polyester paint to do the fiberglass
