I can say that bilstein is really worth the extra cost. It can excel on rough roads. You will notice improvement on control and cornering also.

Try to check out some online rv parts store. They might have a good alternative.

A local body shop might be an option also.

You can also use an eraser wheel attached to a driller. It won't damage the paint.

Removed mine for a while and I didn't notice any negative effect on the mpg and power.
