  1. I'll put my oar in the water - we just returned from a 3 month trip in a new to us 87 22RE. Put on 10, 854 miles running from Maine through the desert Southwest, from 0 to 9500 ft. above sea level. The 22RE was a wonder - it worked hard at altitude, and up those steep Western Mountains, but loves to cruise at 55-60mph. Watch out in Utah where the speed limit is now 80 and everyone is going 90!) Love out little 4 cylinder - we used it hard and it performed beautifully - just doesn't blend in with the Suguaros very well!

  2. Linda, we love the Airhead back and forth between the boat and the Micro Minnie. It WAS a big hit, but has worked well on the boat - we'll see about the RV.

from the Hey All, it's an Airhead composting unit - they're $Spendy, but eleimates the need for the holding tank, and uses no fresh water, so longer boondocking time! When painting, we primed with some leftover exterior primer, and then went to Sherwin Williams for their $7 "sample" color quarts - a great way to get small amounts of paint in your chosen colors!

  3. Thanks Linda for responding!  I swapped out the battery and it is fully charged. . Some of the web surfing I've been doing suggests that the old Magnatek 6300 distribution panels have chronic problems with an onboard relay which switches from AC to DC. I don't know for sure if it IS a converter problem, Before thinking about replacing the converter, etc, I was trying to be sure I wasn't missing something simple, like a fuse or relay between the house battery and the distribution panel:wacko:

After hours chasing the positives off the battery, followed Mainah's suggestion to chase the grounds - nailed it!

     Thanks to Both!

  4. Newbie question here. The house has gone dark (on 12v only). The interior lights and fans etc. all work with the engine running/alternator power or with shore power AC. I have since replaced the circuit breakers coming off the house battery and checked for voltage at the fuse panel. Does the (+) primary 12v supply (black wire below) run straight from the CB off the battery to the fuse panel? I checked for continuity on that wire by detaching the black wire below and attaching an ohmmeter to it and then attaching the other ohmmeter lead to the primary off the battery - nothing!  Does the supply to the fuse panel go first to the isolator? Thanks for any/all help

  5. Hi guys/gals - new owner here of an 87 Toyo minnie winnie. I'm trying to determine the model. The paperwork says it is a  Model Wt319rk , and "yup" it IS a rear kitchen but I don't know the model name. The original sticker also says it is 20.7feet. Attached a few pictures. discovered a lot of rot forward and have rebuilt the nose and done a bunch of other mods. will post some pictures soon. Thanks!
