Looks like a sunrader with fiberglass body. they were shorter. Recalls for the 5 lug rear axle didn't affect any under 18'; think I found that at the Toyota archives a while back. There are some limits on cargo weight, too. This is certainly the best resource for getting into these projects~the ongoing support is so important when taking on a challenge!

[Replace front window (Dolphin)]

Very helpful information! My dolphin had severe frame damage from leaking front window, which had been tarred into the frame as one repair. Glad to know there are options for replacing the window. The once overwhelming project is getting done, one step at a time. Retirement is a perfect time to strap on the tool belt once again

[How old is your propane tank?]

Have the original 20 lb. horizontal mount tank that came with my "79 Dolphin Project. Checked with Propane dealer, certification not necessary, advised checking lines, which we did. Also found that U-Haul will fill the tank for $16, at least in this area. Would be great if that's available at all U-Hauls. Best of Luck to all of you~ Linda M

[1979 Toyota Dolphin]

There's a seller on ebay that has a general CD on dolphins, 1980 on, which does cover components of my 79.

Had trouble finding the right distributor for engine, found that the truck chassis were actually built the previous year. Once I started getting '78 parts, everything fit. Chilton manuals are great for under the hood. Have it pretty much gutted, and planning updates. Was pretty overwhelming when I realized the extent of water damaged framing, but moving along, reading all the great advice we have online.
