We are currently staying in Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach, SC. This has to be the cleanest, nicest campground that we have ever stayed in. A little pricey but really nice. Strictly enforced quiet hours- 11pm to 7am. (Strictly enforced... not a recommendation) No loud music during the day. The bath house is super clean. The beach is clean.
Best of all...No "riff raff". Just older couples and people that know how to behave. If we ever come back to Myrtle Beach we will definitely stay here.
Peace.

The aluminum jacks look good.

My rig has two stabilizer jacks on the rear of the camper. What do you use on the front? We are staying in a densely populated campground in a couple of weeks. Don't want to telegraph all the activity in our happy home...

I cannot see the pics in this post. Are there links to the pics somewhere? Am I doing something wrong?

Well...At least I am not the lone ranger.

Soooo......I ran the Warrior across a scale yesterday. Full fresh water tank and just me driving. 6500#. The GVWR on the tag is 6000#. Is the weight under reported on the door tag, or what?

Great write up!

So....Are there windows in the cab over that are covered up by the gray cushions or does this camper not have windows in the cab over?

Both sets of braces look good! I assume that they were made of black steel tubing that was painted? I am going to have to do this to my 1992 Warrior some time in the near future. It looks like in both installations that the "rack" is installed directly over the roofing material?
Timjam, on the Warrior, did you bolt from the top and bottom?

Comic relief.
My bride is not a happy camper.

Well....
We had reservations for First Landing State Park on the Chesapeake Bay for this weekend. I guess that it was not meant to be..

I knew that there was a better way. Thanks.

Geico saved me bunches. Liberty Mutual was violating me...

Thanks jjrbus!!

I see the little picture on your post but it is almost impossible to see the mirrors.
-
Do you have a picture?

My outside rear view mirrors on my 1992 Warrior are woefully inadequate. it is like they should have been mounted 6 to 12 inches further forward on the cab. I have to lean back each time to check out who is gaining on me (everyone is gaining on me in this rig ).
Who has installed different mirrors on their rig?

Would love to see a few pics of someone that has successfully installed a bike rack on the front of their rig. I did a mock up and IF you have a bike with removable front tire and seat it looks like a normal bike frame will miss the headlights and still allow air to pass through the radiator.

Makes me miss the metal shop that I used to work in.

Anyone??????

Was looking through my Winnebago manual (huge 3 ring binder with data sheets for equipment) and see that my cab ac is some type of aftermarket one. Either my compressor is going bad or the belt is too loose. Squeals sometimes when under load.
1992 camper. Has anyone replaced the compressor? Is it normal to have a different sized belt other than what would have been on a regular Toyota 1-ton truck with ac? I see all of the posts above and it concerns me.

Do you have any pictures of how you accomplished this?
-
How did you reinforce the frame in the rear?

Tear off was the right thing to do. Onward and upward!
Was the bumper extended with 3 inch channel? The previous owner of my rig extended the supports for the rear bumper with 2 pieces of wood bolted to the frame and then bolted the bumper to the ends of the wood. It was extended about the same amount that yours was. He installed an aluminum box on the platform and added boards to the ends. The tail lights are visible (from some angles)
I plan to rework the wooden frame extensions with metal and add a bike rack.
