  1. My brakes faded on a old 65 Dodge Polaris I had, only when I drove on the highway, around town it was fine. Later I found the rear drums were worn and out of round this caused the pads to loose their clearance with the drums. After a few minutes of sitting the brakes returned made for one unforgettable trip back from vacation that year. I hope the heat shield is the issue and all is OK.

  2. I looked at 26 Toys before deciding on mine (very picky) this took several years. I liked the lay out of the rear table and bought it 86 Sunland express 22re auto only one I saw like it. it has the large rear window.

Couple issue with this lay out are that you have open the door to the bath room to pull your pants up, and remove the toilet paper from it's holder if you are feeling limber enough to take a shower.

  3. Just reinstalled the roof after repairing the sag around the AC unit, also removing the luggage racks along the top each connection to the roof was at some point a leak. I don't ever want to do this project again. Added 3 new aluminum supports for the roof and AC unit. Hosed the roof down then set the sprinklers for an hour to try and get it to leak.... dry as a bone inside.

Now it is on to replacing inside panels ceiling I removed to do the work and up grade the 1980 vintage interior,

  4. 4 toyhomes listed on the St. Louis Craigslist they range from 87 to 92 I can not testify as to there condition. I check Madison Wisconsin's craigs list there seems to be one or two listed there often all the prices seem to be in the 5 to 8 thousand dollar range.

I just keep an eye on them from time to time I have my own now, paid $2200.00 for it parked it in the drive and take off camping when ever I want and customize it when i have the chance. I use to have a 38 foot RV it felt just a compact as my little get a way.

  5. It sounds like you have already decided to move to another home

I agree with Linda the sag in the back means some pretty hard work. Selling it out right you will take a big loss over parting it out, but that will require some work on your part as well.... time =money.

I plan to ride mine for as long as I can before I part it out. What year was it made?

  6. Good for you JD! your living the good life don't worry what catagory someone else will put you in.

    Me:

two cars with over 200k on them paid for the day i got them, I'm set until they hit 350 or so.

My toy home paid for the day I got it 66K had to live in it after a devorce for a time.

Got a nice little home "forclosure' paid off the day i bought it far below market value.

I will never take out a loan for a car or anything else for tht matter and no Credit cards

why buy a full price car when you can find tons of cars with Low miles "120K" on CR fix them and drive or resell for a profit.
