93 thru 97 80 series has a full floater axle.
I have also thought of this combo. I think Bajadulce showed just how much work it takes to build a mini truck before he moved to the larger T100. I think that the jump to the Landcruiser is kinda like leap frog. Does the series your using have a Free floating axle ? What is the GVW of the 80 series axle ?

I know you said you glassed the front upper curb window, did you use any materials in the back and do you have any pics when you did it?

I would like to know also. One camper maker here in Sacramento sells this horizontal tank for double the price.

For the front seal, look here. http://www.yotatech.com/f114/22r-front-crank-seal-1981-2wd-126295/
I just did it to my 83 sunrader, and my dd 95 pick up and its not that bad to tackle it.

Why do you wish to remove the entire spring assembly? I've beefed up many. Left the top leaf alone (the one attached to the perches). Just cut the centerbolt, took out the leaves and added new or more as needed.
Wish I could do that but the spring is already or was in negative arched for a while and one leaf is cracked in half. The spring that I got is from a 4x4 donor plus I'll beefed it up with spring helper and add a leaf (81 thru 87 will fit but make sure you measure eye to eye and pin to eye on both ends). Just waiting for my shocks, spring perched for tundra axle, sway bar end link and cooperation from the weather and I'll get back to it.

I put the installation on hold as I'm missing some hardware to finish it. Hopefully I can get back to it soon maybe after Thanksgiving. Thanks.

Been a lurker here for a while and decided to join in since I'm starting updating the suspension of my 83 18' Sunrader. My question is regarding rear spring removal, I did search on this topic to make sure that the black tank has to be remove in order to take the front bolts hanger out on the driver side and all I see is mentioning dropping the black tank by removing the strap but not mentioning if I need to get the shower flange inside the camper. Is there a step by step, or pictures for owner of 18' Sunrader who tackle this issue? For those who did this, how do you put a new strap back w/o removing the entire shower pan inside? Thanks
