  1. Waiter, I know what you mean with the head wind verses the tail wind. The wife and i took a shake down cruise in our Toy Home this week end as well. We left Dallas Fort Worth area and went up to the WinStart Casino for the weekend. Buy the way they have a really nice new and clean RV park on the casino grounds. Also they have a shuttle to take you back and forth to the casino. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes 24 hours a day. On our way up to Oklahoma i kept it in OD and could run between 60 and 65 just fine. On the way home they wind was howling. Not sure how high the wind was but it kept trying to push the Toy Home off the road. I had to drop out of OD about half way home and could only run between 57 and 60 to fill good that i wasn't pushing the toy to hard. The wife and i had a great time on our first trip oh and the dog! It does take some getting used to being in such a small area. We are no sure how this will work with our 3 boys and the dog. We will be taking a trip to Carlsbad NM with the kids for spring break. It will be tight but we fill we are ready for a longer bigger trip now. Everything on our Toy seamed to work just fine. Only one thing in question. When i disconnect my water hose from thr RV water poured out of the RV. I guess this was all the water in the lines. Is it supposed to do this when you discconect the water hose? Glad everything checked out for you on your trip. All your hard work has paid off...... Now its time to go and enjoy your Toy!!! Eddie in Texas
  2. Thanks for the reply guys. I live in a small town south east of Dallas Texas . We have a few truck stops in town and one of them has a cb radio shop next door to it. I think maybe i will take my Toy Home over to that guy and let him take a look at what i have. I can purchase a CB and Antennas from him and have him hook it up for me. That way i know it will be done right and i wont burn anything up. Maybe once all this is done i might start looking into the Ham Radio stuff after i get my feet wet with the CB. Waiter I have been watching your work on your Toy Home...... NICE JOB WITH EVERYTHING! I got lucky when i bought my Toy. It is one of the cleanest rigs i have ever seen 92 Winnebago Warrior with 51,000 miles on the dash. Luckly everything works as i am new to RV repair. I did have to install a new room impeller on my suburban furnace and that worked out ok. But that is the only fix that it needed sofar. Eddie in Texas
  3. The previous owner of my 92 Winnebago Warrior was a Ham Radio Operator. When i purchase the motorhome from him he took all of his CB radio, Ham Radio ect. stuff out before i took deliver of the motorhome. He did leave me all of the antenna cables and mountes. I am wanting to install a goog little CB Radio back in the motorhome . A unit that would be good for a first timer. I want to be able to use the radio during my trips more so for use with traffic, popos ect. Can anybody recomend a good starter radio for me to install back in the toy home? THIS IS WHAT HE SAID HE HAD: I had several radio systems in the motorhome. On the hood I had a dual band 2 meter/440 cm rig that screwed into the mount. On the passenger side mirror I had a 102” steel whip for C.B. and 10/11 meters. In the back I had 15-20- & 40 meter sticks which screwed into the base mount on the rear bumper. The rear and the passenger side mirror will take any antenna; but unless you are a licensed ham radio operator – the only thing you can use is the citizen band antennas. license – I have The best thing for you to do is probably stick with the C.B. stuff – as it doesn’t require a license..
  4. On a nother forum a topic was poster showing all the different and cool modifications that people have done to the motorhomes and travel trailers that they own. A bunch of pictures for other owners to see. Somebody start this off with some cool pictures of modifications that you have done to your Toy Home!
  5. I havn't contacted the factory yet but it looks like that might be my only solution!! If you stumble across anything let me know..... Thanks
  6. These are not the sewer dump valves. These are the ones that will release all the water from the lines. These are actually under the oven in my toy home. If you crawl underneath the coach there are two clear tubes coming from these to let the water dump out on the ground. On a plumbing print for a Winnebago Warrior i believe 90 model that i pulled from this forum they show them to be actually called "header Drain 52961-01-000" from what i can tell. Tom. W when you replaced the O-Rings how did you take these apart. They look like one complete molded piece. Once i take them up from the floor do they come apart from the underside?
  7. Okay i will see about getting them apart to check the orings. Has anybody taken these out and put a different type of valve back in the place of these? If so what valves did you use? These valves look to be about 5 or 6 inches long the water lines hook up to both ends. In the middle they have a pull valve that sends the water under the coach outside when you pull them up. Eddie
  8. I have a 92 Winnebago Warrior and yesterday it got a bath due to very nice weather. After the bath i decided to hook up the water to the unit and check for leaks. I also started up my hot water heater for the first time as i am a new owner of this motorhome. I've only owned it two months now.... Anyway water was hooked up and running as i started checking under the sinks for leaks. I have two dump valves or drains under the kitchen sink with little metal pull tabs on them. It looks like they leaked a little when i first turned on the water. I pulled them up and released water under the coach a few times and then closed them. The leak appeared to stop. But i did notice some corosion around the top of the valves. It looks like one of them or possibly both seeps water while under pressure. Will these valves seal up or do you think i should look into replacing them. One more thing while giving my coach a bath i did see that my roof does have a sag in it from the weight of the AC. No water leak found while washing but the area did hol water. Has anybody gone on the inside and added additional bracing to the roof to take this sag out? Eddie in Texas
  9. Have none of you guys and gals traveled to Carlsbad Caverns?? I was thinking that somebody on here could give information on the area..... Anyway i can't wait for spring. The wife and i were in the barn last night cooking fish in the fryer and had the stereo in the motorhome going! We had a blast and cant wait to take it camping in the spring. We are going to make a quick trip up to Winstar in Oklahoma in a few weeks. The have a rv park as part of the grounds. Looks real nice but more than anything i just want to take the motorhome on a trip!!! Eddie in Texas
  10. I have a 92 Warrior that i would really like to add a awning to as well. I am looking into the box awnings and would to get the optional add a room with it. Does anybody on this site have a add a room that they can tell me more about? Possible give me pictures of what they have installed and the model numbers they chose? Eddie in Texas
  11. New to me 1992 Winnebago Warrior 321RB located down in Ennis TX
  12. New Toy Home owner down here in Texas. We are wanting to plan a trip for spring break with the kiddos. We have 3 boys 6,7, and 8 years old. We want to try and take a trip with them but not sure of the right place. We fill the beach is out until summer. Not sure it would be warm enough for them to swim yet. Thinking of Carlsbad Caverns in NM but not sure it there would be enough stuff to keep them busy? Can anybody recomend a good spring break trip for kiddos??? Thanks
  13. I have had a few travel trailers in the past but my (new to me) 1992 Warrior is the first MH i have ever owned. I keep it parked in my barn when we are not traveling so it is out of the weather. But i am wanting to here from you other happy campers what you with yours while not in travel. Things like: How often do you go out and start the engine? How long do you let it run? Do you keep all of your batteries hooked up or do you disconnect them? How often do you charge the batteries? Do you charge the main engine battery while it is still hooked up after it has been sitting? AHH this list could get quite long........ Hopefully this will give you guys and gals an idea of the information i am trying to gather. Thanks
  14. Snow here in TX today so havn't been outside. I will get more pics of the genny with the cover off and make and size this week. The genny on the front so far has seemed to work fine. The brase is welded to the frame. My headlights have no blockage and i can service the engine. I have not noticed any overheating or anything. Made a trip from Ennis Texas to San Antonio running mostley 62-67mph. Gauge stays a liitle below half way.
  15. David, I have the 321RB. It is a very clean unit as well with all manuals. I think all i need to do with the exhaust pipe is weld on an extension and run it downward. I tried to attach a few pics. Not sure if it worked.
  16. Hello everybody, Last week the wife and i purchase a 1992 warrior with 52K miles on it. The previous owner installed a front reciever hitch and a brand new generator that i got with the purchase. I want to buy a small extension cord (say 12 foot) and snake it from the generator at the front up threw the frame into the generator compartment. I want to plug it into the shoreline power and be able to run the generator going down the highway. This way i could use my roof air during summer months. Do you think this would be okay?
