Hello Ron 'n Sue, Yes the coach battery should charge the house battery while driving down the road.The two cables in the battery compartment go under the coach up to the fire wall to a cylinoid. This cylinoid should be under your hood on the passenger side fire wall.

I have actually only had mine for about 6 months. Its a 92 with 52K on the mileage. It was a very clean unit and had been kept in a barn all of its life. For this all decals and everything on the outside is perfect. The inside is in great shape as well. They are fun RV's to own and because of size not to much up keep.
