  1. Hey there. I just got a new (for me) 88 Sunrader with 63K miles. It has airbags, but the previous owner knew nothing of them and did not use them during the 11 years that he owned it. It has the cab controls for the airbags, a compressor and a storage tank. The compressor is hooked up as far as the hoses go, but the electrical to it has been disconnected and I am trying to figure out how it should go. There are two wires coming out of the body of the compressor motor. One is a ground and the other is obviously supposed to be a hot, but is disconnected. There is also a sensor screwed into the compressor itself which has two electrical terminals and no wires going to it. Finally, there is a toggle switch on the exterior of the RV, down by the bottom of the door, which has been disconnected, but the length of the wires suggest that they ran to the compressor. I assume that the compressor is supposed to have power either when the engine is running or when the exterior switch is hit, and that the sensor is a limit switch that turns of the compressor when it reaches a certain pressure. I would guess that I need to run a hot wire from the engine ignition side of the circuit (rather than the house side) for the compressor to run when the engine is on, and a second wire from the house hot through the exterior switch, and that both of them should terminate at the sensor, which I should hook in series with the compressor. However, I see no evidence of there having been two hot wires and I an concerned with what may happen when I connect the house hot with the engine ignition side while the ignition is off. Anyone familiar with this setup? Thanks
