  1. Today I installed a 12' triangle sun shade sail canopy on the Sunrader. I was looking for something light weight, not much money and simple to install and take down.

I purchased a Sun shade sail canopy on Ebay for less than $20, bought three eye bolts. I already had a tent pole (sailing mast) but 2" PVC would work also.

I drill two 1/4" holes in the Sunrader and installed the eye bolts rubber washers alone with two metal washer for each bolt.

Installed on of the eyebolts to the top of the mast. I am using 2" PVC as an anchor to the ground. When camping with a wooden table around, I will be using a C-clamp to attach mast to table for support.

The canopy will be stored in the RV when not in use.post-4138-0-56336600-1396832238_thumb.jp It will be nice to have some shade while camping in Florida.post-4138-0-78009300-1396832274_thumb.jpThe pvc can be driven in the ground to support the mast quarter inch Eye bolts install on roof.JPG]It was hard drilling the two 1/4" hole in the roof after all my past roof repairs.

  2. post-4138-0-98014800-1396321987_thumb.jpCruise ship in background.I took the Sunrader to the beach for three days. I traveled 50 miles to Huguenot Memorial park. Huguenot is a city park in Jacksonville Florida. The camp is located between St Johns river and Ft George inlet (ocean). Cost is $17 night, no elect.

I was able to walk the beach and enjoy the birds and the sand. On the beach side there were plenty of surfers. I did have a friend Chip come visit for a beer or two, he is the one fishing.

Sunrader did well I took an Ice box and got six day out of the ice. Once the ice starts to melt, I cover the ice with a car window sun screen that keeps the cool in.

My coach battery lasted the three days without a charge 12.5v still on the meter. Used the Led lights at night and watched two hours of TV each day (news)

Saturday morning 2am had a bad rain storm that woke everyone up in camp. I felt sorry for the tent campers. I packed up around 9am between showers and made the trip back home. Jacksonville has a lot of bridges and I had to cross three of the largest and five smaller bridges in the rain with drivers driving like there was no tomorrow.

Had a great time in the sun, hope to make another trip real soon.post-4138-0-39940300-1396322212_thumb.jp Friend Chip fishing.post-4138-0-48077400-1396322112_thumb.jpMe having a beer.

  3. Hello, after working on my 18' Sunrader for two years, I finally got nerve to take her camping. Last weekend we traveled a short distance to Kingsley lake. I stayed on the National Guard side of the lake for cheap. They have three Rv camping areas with maybe 60 sites. I stayed in the older site with only water and elect. Some of the newer sites have large cement pads for RV and auto parking.

All systems work to my liking on the RV. While at Camp Blanding I did a lot of biking and went to the museum on base, where they have static displays of tanks and planes.

  4. I bought a class c cover for my Sunrader on Ebay. The length was good. The height was two long. Hung to the ground with excess of two feet. I used it a couple of times. I need to cut the excess material off and have it sewed to the proper size.

It also takes two people to put my cover on.

  5. Yesterday I installed a 19" LED Sceptre TV in the Sunrader. I install the TV on the back side of the closet. Because of the thin walls on the closet a backer plate was installed using 3/4 plywood. While I was at it I also changed out the 12v receptacle and add another receptacle next too tank gages.

These 12v receptacle's were purchase on ebay and are waterproof motorcycle receptacles. Sell for around $5 including shipping.
