  1. It is an automatic. I never could figure out why it did that, but after new cables fuses and relays I quite trying to figure it out and i bypassed the badboy. I now have a push button start that only works when the key is in RUN that direct connects the starter to the positive terminal. Now when it clicks I mash the button of "START NOW".

i am having a similar problem.. mine will always start cold.. but about 50 percent of the time it wont start after its been running for a while.. i just kind of chooses when it wants to it will just make a single click each time i give the key a turn .. how do you install the bypass'??? and also anyone know anything about the starter relay on these things?

  2. From the top:

#4- fresh water input if your are camping at a spot with water. This will pressurize your water system so you don't need to turn on your water pump. I think you are supposed to screw in a pressure reducer and then the water hose to the pressure reducer.

#7- fresh water tank filler-upper. Carefully wiggle open the plug. It slides open like a drawer about 2 -3". Turn your hose on to a medium flow and put the end of the hose in the opening. When the tank is full, water will overflow. Be careful with the old plastic- it will be brittle.

Use a white hose that is for potable water for both of these. The taste from normal hoses is not so good.

    Enjoy your rig!

thanks. ok well those both help.that switch is not for a solar panel i know that, but yea.. i guess i will have to do some more research.. how long does it take for the fridge to get cool?

  3. I don't know what some of this stuff is. Some of it I have great guesses but i just want to make sure.. others I have no clue.

  4. what kind of oil should i put in my toy? i am used to it saying on the cap right on the engine. but this is not so. its an 1984 sunrader 22r engine. thanks!!! i am also planning on putting up some pictures of the things that i have no idea what they do within the next couple of days

  5. thanks.. i think i am gonna buy it for me and my woman, the band will find something else..

but what would you use to coverup a hole temporarily on the roof.. where the second AC should go its not there and we want to cover up the hole until we have the money to buy a new AC. and mind you we will probably take it on some trips in winter.. thanks!

  6. V-6 advantages, 35 more HP, but it still weighs 6000lb and still no trailer. Better brakes, slightly larger water system.

    stronger automatic transmission......5spds very rare

V-6 disadvantages, cost big bucks if some thing go wrong, worse gas mileage. Especially if yous that extra hp to boogie down the highway. The V-6 at 65-70 mph is a 10-12mpg rig.

i might have figured a happy medium. i still really like these things and want to buy one for myself. i might buy a van that can tow for the band.. i found a cheap toyota thats kinda a fixer upper.. needs a/c filled in the cab and a new unit on the roof.. its wired for it.. where would i find that part? thanks for all the help.. no one seems to want to help haha.

  7. I think reality will rear its ugly soon, like about 2 hr in to the first trip.

You should be looking at a 27+ft class A, not a tiny 20ft Class C with just 2 under sized sleeping areas and limited water.

eh thats debatable, our other option is a 12/15 passenger van. with no sleeping arrangements no water/toilet, or anything to cook on. many band do tours in vans (even minivans) and sleep either in people homes or cheap hotels. so we feel like this could be a good option for us. but how under powered is the 20r? carbs? how hard would it be to find/replace and cabin ac? anything else i should know

  8. I am in the market for a toyota motorhome, been checking around trying to see whats a good deal. i am in a band and we are planing on using one for tour, but i dont know what things i should be looking for. like which motor, there will be 4 grown men in the motor home so does that mean a 20r is out of the question? i know i need the fixed rear axle.. but other then that i am lost.. and how hard would it be to put an a/c unit up top and where would i find one? thanks for any help
