4. Hello Roger: Is it a rear bath or rear kitchen model? Here are three links to micro mini motorhomes: NADA uses a percentage of purchase price for determining depreciation = current $ value, which is generally low for ToyHomes. So if you are a seller you will be shocked, especially with the shape of our economy this is a buyers market, and they should also be looking at this NADA $ Guide for pricing guidance. http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-25-38-5694-0-0-0&l=1&w=25&p=38&f=5697&m=0415&y=1987&ml=W&gc=RV&gtc=MH&d=2200035363" target="_blank">http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=...mp;d=2200035363 http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-25-38-5694-0-0-0&l=1&w=25&p=38&f=5697&m=0415&y=1987&ml=W&gc=RV&gtc=MH&d=2200035364" target="_blank">http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=...mp;d=2200035364 http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-25-38-5697-818-905-59841&l=1&w=25&p=38&f=5694&m=0415&d=2200035364&y=1987&ml=W&gc=RV&gtc=MH" target="_blank">http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=...c=RV&gtc=MH

9. Hello Fellow ToyHome Travelers: I am in the early stages of planning a road trip through the beautiful State of Michigan this fall. Do any of the members have any suggestions which I may incorporate into my journey? Trip itinerary to include PA, OH, MI. (Note this is a change of plans from VA, which I now plan on doing later)

11. Just seems as though the values of these old ToyHomes seem so low in NADA: Research the valuation of your ToyHome! Would you sell yours for NADA valuation $ amount? http://www.nadaguides.com/SectionHome.aspx?LI=1-25-38-5692-502-579-50251&l=1&w=25&p=0&f=5602" target="_blank">http://www.nadaguides.com/SectionHome.aspx...;p=0&f=5602 http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?l=1&w=25&p=38&f=5693&gc=rv&any=0&gtc=MH" target="_blank">http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?l=1...ny=0&gtc=MH http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/rv-pricing-help.htm" target="_blank">http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/rv-pricing-help.htm http://www.buzzle.com/articles/new-used-motorhome-rv-values-blue-book-nada.html" target="_blank">http://www.buzzle.com/articles/new-used-mo...-book-nada.html http://www.rversonline.org/ArtNewUsed.html" target="_blank">http://www.rversonline.org/ArtNewUsed.html http://rv.org/class_C.htm" target="_blank">http://rv.org/class_C.htm http://hubpages.com/hub/RV-Class-C-Motorhome-vs-Class-B" target="_blank">http://hubpages.com/hub/RV-Class-C-Motorhome-vs-Class-B
12. This topic was started over two years ago. It is an old inquiry, actually a very old inquiry, here are some NADA Guide links which could have been used to answer johnnyblade's question about value back then in June 2007, or NADA Guides can be useful today for anyones new inquiry about market value: http://www.nadaguides.com/SectionHome.aspx?LI=1-25-38-5697-502-579-50251&l=1&w=25&p=0&f=5602" target="_blank">http://www.nadaguides.com/SectionHome.aspx...;p=0&f=5602 http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?l=1&w=25&p=38&f=5693&gc=rv&any=0&gtc=MH" target="_blank">http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?l=1...ny=0&gtc=MH http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?l=1&w=25&p=38&f=5692&gc=rv&any=0&gtc=MH&ml=I#0121" target="_blank">http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?l=1...H&ml=I#0121 http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-25-38-5694-0-0-0&l=1&w=25&p=38&f=5697&m=0415&y=1991&ml=W&gc=rv&gtc=MH&d=2200035455" target="_blank">http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=...mp;d=2200035455

14. Am investigating a West Coast Mirror Assembly which I saw on a 2006 GMC Pickup with a Stahl Utility Body which was stepped outward. The selling point of these mirror brackets is that the front leading edge top bracket vertically rose approximately 4 inches before turning for the horizontal run. Retrac Mirror Brackets has the closest looking setup. http://www.retracmirrors.com/Product_Line/H_M-WC08/h_m-wc08.html This photo of a Gulfstream Conquest has the same mirror brackets and stripes as my Old 87. Just no rust or weather cracked decals yet.
15. I have removed all of the weather checked stripes from the front fenders and the mid section of the doors using a combination of ATF for Pre Soak, Hot Gun and Plastic Scraper for removal of stripes, WD40 and Graffiti Removal Solvent for adhesive removal. Removing the glue takes a lot of elbow grease and rags. The chemicals soften the glue, mechanical buffing with rags actually removes it. So removing the remaining balance of stripes on the coach is not going to be accomplished this year or maybe ever on this old 87. Has anyone painted over these old stripes with a textured paint on the fiberglass portion of the coach? Possibly using a bed liner paint, or chip guard paint for the base coat? Then a second coat of paint for the actual color scheme? My stripes have been exposed to too much direct sunlight with no protection for too many years. There is not going to be any easy removal solution on this ToyHome, other than pay someone to do the work. The stripes on my old 87 coach are very similar to this pictured Gulfstream Conquest.

Two on the sofa / convertible bed. Two in the sleeping loft. A fifth sleeping area could be made for a short person across the two front seats by filling in the transmission hump with high density foam to the level of the seats. Then laying down a foam pad from door to door. Or a person could go to sleep sitting in the driver or passenger seat in recline mode. My ToyHome has a club / barrel chair which swivels, and travels forward and back. A fully reclining Captains chair could easily be fitted onto this swivel base. A cooler could double up for an ottoman, or they could angle themselves to use a corner of the sofa bed for an ottoman. Install a Roll Out Canopy, someone can sleep in a lawn chair or tent outdoors. Caution: Carrying 5 persons aboard a 21' Toyhome with cargo, food, water, fuel, propane, etc. could easily reach 7000 lbs. & beyond. Toyota stopped supplying truck chassis to American Coach builders for this reason. http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=1860&hl=" target="_blank">http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.ph...ic=1860&hl=
17. Hello Helloo: Possibly if you remove one of your shocks, take accurate measurements of all dimensions, especially fully extended and fully compressed, someone might be able to make recommendations for replacements. Or you could then contact the manufacturers armed with this information.

19. The purpose of my request about rubber protectant is my glazing lock rubber is beginning to shrink in their window channels, some is beginning to harden. I want to offset purchasing replacement glazing lock if I can. Seems as though it is quite expensive per foot as the attached forum mentions $5 per foot: http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=1737&hl=" target="_blank">http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.ph...ic=1737&hl= Will be trying 3M Rubber Treatment & Tire Dressing, and NAPA Easy Glyd
20. Hello Fellow ToyHome Owners: This morning as I was removing old cracked stubborn decal stripes and the remaining glue residual from my passenger door. I made a simple discovery for another use of ATF. Yes, Automatic Transmission Fluid. I saturated the old weather cracked decals, let them absorb the ATF, then applied the heat gun. They peeled off much easier. Still stubborn, but easier than without this Pre-Soak. Also, less glue residual remained on the painted surface. So, while I was waiting for the pre-soak cycle, I applied some ATF onto the dried rubber trim molding around my wing window. Well at first, oxidized black rubber smeared onto the door paint and cloth. But, as I keep soaking and rubbing it cleaned up nicely. After it soaks into the rubber and the surface dries, I will wash it. For years I have carefully applied brake fluid to my tires and rubber hoses as a conditioner to keep them flexible and pliable. But, brake fluid will also soften paint so I do not use it on rubber which contacts painted surfaces. I am told that the Silicone Brake Fluid will not affect paint. But, is the use of silicone acceptable on the rubber trim molding on these ToyHomes. My next Project is to attend to all the door and window rubber seals and trim molding on the old 87. Following are some links to commercial protectant products: http://www.carcareonline.com/viewarticle.aspx?art=12" target="_blank">http://www.carcareonline.com/viewarticle.aspx?art=12 http://www.chemicalguys.com/Trim_Restorer_High_Shine_Trim_Gel_Forever_Black_p/tvd_108_16.htm" target="_blank">http://www.chemicalguys.com/Trim_Restorer_.../tvd_108_16.htm http://www.superiorcarcare.net/cleaning-trim-molding.html" target="_blank">http://www.superiorcarcare.net/cleaning-trim-molding.html http://www.autogeek.net/trim-molding.html" target="_blank">http://www.autogeek.net/trim-molding.html Does anyone have a favorite rubber conditioning product to prolong the pliability of the exposed rubber trim?
21. For your reference and easy retrieval; This should be the link to the thread above which is referred to by Allen / motoyhomme: http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=94&hl=" target="_blank">http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.ph...opic=94&hl=
22. Hello Jocko: On my ToyHome, a 1987 Gulfstream Conquest, the coach battery is stored under my pull out sofa / bed. I have the necessary extra storage room to install another 12 volt DC coach battery by using a parallel battery setup. But, I would need to purchase two identical deep cycle 12 volt DC batteries at the time of conversion. My single coach battery still services me well, I have no desire to increase my weight. Have you considered installing a single, larger, deep cycle battery to replace your existing coach battery to achieve more amp hours?
23. Don't those Stripers start heading South from Maine like the second week of August? http://www.stripers247.com/phpBB2/index.php" target="_blank">http://www.stripers247.com/phpBB2/index.php? Hope some of the Big Ones stick around for you until Sept., they will be hungry.
24. Hello Vicki: Welcome to the world of ToyHome Owners. First, as Shanda mentioned in her post located above, you need to determine if your ToyHome already has the Toyota replacement 1 ton, 6 lug, dual wheel, outer bearing axel rear already installed? There are many helpful threads at this site to help you answer this question. Here are a few recent links to get you started: http://www.toyotamotorhomes.com/files/Axle_FAQ.pdf" target="_blank">http://www.toyotamotorhomes.com/files/Axle_FAQ.pdf http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2271" target="_blank">http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2271 http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.php?autocom=gallery&req=si&img=1677" target="_blank">http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.ph...si&img=1677 Hope you enjoy your Alaskan experience.
