  2. Great idea, love it and might go that route if my roof starts leaking again. I am curious what happens if something up there needs to be replaced? Like the A/C maybe? How would you handle that?

the way i did it was to replace all vents and others items on roof so it all new before i have it spay with the bedliner i can tell you it very solid up there with no leaks and i am very happy with the process so far . I hope that help you .

  3. mine is in the bumper but will have to move it to another location as that is a minor thing to me i like the idea of having a bike rack then a cargo rack i also see where they have a table hitch where you can put a bbq on when you are camping . so many ideas with a hitch mount

    Price

Where do you carry your sewer drain hose? Mine lives inside the bumper.

  4. OKay ,

With the talk about hitches and I like the pictures of the hitch pf the cargo hitch with blue storage box . I measure the frame to frame being 39 inches on my toyota rv i heard the other say 37 inches but on mine it 39 inches . With that being said i went out to find a hitch for my toyota rv and get rid of my little bike rack i have now . What i found at a junk yard off a 1994 full size ford van a 39 inches across with a 2 inch receiver for $ 28.00 what a deal . To hook this up to the frame was to cut off the bumber so that i can reach the 2 inch receiver with a bike rack or a cargo box storage thing . I would like to know if the motorhome will look kind of off with no bumber i could leave a cargo storage on the hitch so it will cover the area of a missing bumber what do you folks think about this ??

    Thanks

  5. I installed a Pyle PLD70BT into our 91

The Pyle is also a dvd player (which we do not use) but it is also our rear camera view with its 7 inch screen. That part I can not live without. It has the ability to switch to the rear view when shifted into reverse. Its also blue tooth and will interface with any blue tooth phone for hands free operation or with any mp3 player that has blue tooth capabilities for playing music. Has an SD card slot and a usb port for thumbdrives. Its a standard DIN size. I also bought the kit for installation that has a small cubby hole for cds storage etc. Comes with remote also. The rear camera abilities is why I chose it. Was under $200 on eBay shipping included.

As a note I did have a Pyle PLD5MU installed before this one. It is also a rear view dvd etc but it does not have the blue tooth and the screen is only 5 inches. It decided to die on us a 3 weeks before a planned trip. The screen went blank. Still under warranty but as it turned out Pyle was on Easter Break for a week so there was no way I could get it back in time. So I opted to upgrade to a better model. The PLD5MU is back from Pyle, fixed and sitting in its original box.

i would like to see a picture of this model

    thanks

  8. Thanks,

I been looking on line at many radio that they offer i going with a aux port and a remote for sure i like the idea of controlling the radio from the back area of the motorhome with a cd player . I have a portable sirius radio that was connected to my old radio that has a cassette adapter . i assuming that i can plug this in the aux port of the newer radio that they have out there ??? one more thing i notice some have this ( HD radio ) listed i not sure what the heck that is does anybody have this ????

    THanks for the ideas campers

  9. thanks for the info

Yeah the remote is great. Radios change as much as computers so it probably would not do you much good if I gave you a model number I'm sure they are no longer made (3 years old). A lot of the newer radios also have a USB or at least a jack for an MP3 player I wish mine did I would love to have a USB port for MP3 files that way I could have hours of the music I like. I would just go and find some thing you like with the features you want they all now use a DIN mount so just about any thing would fit. I'll try to get a photo for you tomorrow so at least you can see how well it fits. If you can find the adapter (most brand name radios are covered) that plugs into the radio and the Toyota it's a snap to install a new radio.

  10. can you send me a picture of your?? what the model number so i can look this up ??

I like the remote idea as you spend more time in the back of the rv

    Thanks

    Price

Most of them are pretty easy to put in they generally are DIN mounts that just slide in. I would advise you to get an adapter to fit your Toyota from the radio store see if you can find the ones that just plugs into your radio and the MH it will save you a lot of head aches they are around $15. I bought a JVC with a remote I had seen them and all ways wondered why would one would need a remote when they are 3 feet from the radio? But wow is it neat in the motor home! I just keep the remote in the coach.

  11. Henry,

I try to send you an e- mail on this to get more info but with no reply as yet last sunday i drove to the area trying to find the place with no luck any help would be appreciated .

    1987 toyota dolphin

We are having a rally in the desert east of San Diego. At Agua Caliente Campground. It is run by the County of San Diego.

There are 3 Hot Springs there. One is an indoor pool.

It takes place in the Caravan area. No hookups. But there is a very nice new covered area with tables, barbecues etc.

Restrooms, showers and the hot springs too.

It is only $10 per night , no fees to register.

We currently have 11 paid Toys coming. All are welcome. First timers come and meet others, and

    see their toy homes.

The average high temp in April is a nice 84 degrees.

    For more info acudoc888@gmail.com

    Thanks Henry

  13. I glad it work for you it really does the job of keeping things dry in the rv Do you have any pictures to show how you spray your roof ???? I would like to see that .

    Price

Well i couldn't afford to do the whole roof like that, but your idea came in handy. I went down to the local auto parts store and bought 3 cans of the spray on bedliner. I sprayed all the seams on my roof and around my vents. I put on about 4 coats. I was sure glad i did, first trip out, big rain storm first night. The camper had a leak when i got it. Stayed nice and dry all weekend. So, thanks for the idea.

  14. The 89' Dolphin I bought in April with "no leaks" in fact leaks like a sieve. How do I save it?! I got hold of tree with the back upper passenger side ripping the corner seam open. It's Soaked inside and I would never have suspected leakage there, but I can point to many. What do you think is the best thing to do to seal it up? After it dries of course. Thanks. peace
