  1. Hello. I've got a '84 Dolphin and tried for weeks to get someone to install air bags to my tired springs and take out the sag in the rear. No one could find air bags that would work on anything older than '86. I was refered to a buisness that builds off road vehicles in Four Corners MT. and this guy installed Timbrens where the air bags would have gone. They are a solid rubber support(no air). No more sag, sway, and the RV corners awesomely!!!! I hope this info is of some help. T.A.J.
  2. Hello all. I've got a '84 Dolphin in great shape and I enjoy it. I put some chairs and a folding table up on top in the luggage rack and held them w/ bungi cords. When I got to my destination, I noticed the luggage rack was pulling away from the roof. I didn't tie them down extremly tight yet the screws are pulling right out of the roof. Can anyone tell me what is under the tin and where the supports are located. I'd like to build and screw a metal frame to the roof and then screw the rack to that. I know not where the main supports are !!!! THANKS T.A.J.
  3. Ya, I thought of that. I'm concerned about using up precious space and rattling that may create.
  4. Hi everyone. I've got a 1982 Dolphin in excellent shape. I love it. I replaced the stereo with a Kenwood deck and disc player. I put Alpine speaks in front and Rockford Fosgate "PUNCHS" in rear. Fun-Fun! I'd like to add some bottem via 12" powered woofer but not sure where to put it. Has anyone done this? Where to mount it without ruining a cabinet door? Suggestions please. Thanks. 5. A lot of these RV's came new without duals. many were replaced with 1 ton dually axles. Some tried to pull a fast one by adding the duals with a bracket to accomadate the second wheel instead of replacing the axle. This is not good! Make sure there is a hub extending out thru the center of you're rims. If not, I suggest replacing the rear axle before you a cadistrophic failure! Troy in Mont.
  6. Hi Traderbob. I bought a 1982 Dlophin last summer in excellent shape. Every thing worked great except the furnace would not put out much heat. We checked and tried all the things mentioned in the other responses to no avail. I found that it put out good heat when plugged into an exterior source. I put new batteries in and have had more heat than needed since. Troy from Mont.
