  1. Hello My Dolphin is dirty. Lots of grime and such. I've taken it to a car wash - do it yourself type - and brushed it and so on, but it did not remove the grey grime. I've used some grime remover from the hardware store, and some elbow grease, but with limited results.....Anyone got a line on some decent grime removing product!? Thanks! BBC3
  2. Ha! Yep, I earned it! I'm happy it was such an 'easy' fix, though it took a while to track it down....like 'is it plugged in!?'
  3. Thanks - appreciate your input. See my post below.....yeah, I know, hot is cold, cold is hot.....go figure!!
  4. HA!! I figured it out.......the hot water tap in the shower is actually.....wait for it.........the cold, and the cold, the hot!! Yes, as simple as that. Oh boy. But now, I'm all set, the fridge is working, the hot water is working, I've sealed the seams and I'm ready to roll! Thanks to all who has helped in this process!!
  5. So, I've filled the main tank, and then switched on the pump. It sounded like water was getting pumped into the hot water tank, ready for heating - does that sound about right? It pumped for about 20 seconds and I think I could hear water flowing from the fresh water tank into the hot water tank......I'm assuming now that I can switch on the heater? Please advise. Thanks!! The heater itself seems to light up fine and i can feel heat is being produced......so no issue with the lighting and heating by the looks of it.......

  7. Hi Maineah, Thanks for your reply. I have attached some images, and a video, not sure if the video will work....Anyway, I can't see any levers to turn, and not sure what is what here.....can you tell if I have a bypass kit? And what should I do with what I've got? Can you tell? Thanks!!
  8. Hello! Can someone please give me a step by step instruction to use my shower? I have a 1991 Toyota Dolphin. I tried to heat up the water today and left the heater on for 3 hours, but no hot water.....I can get water to run out of all fawcets and the shower, but not hot. I don't think anything is wrong, I think it is operator error...this is my first RV and I have not tried to have a warm shower yet..... I cannot find any instructions. My understanding so far is that there is a tank which water goes into and then needs to be heated up, but I am not clear on how to make sure hot water is in the tank ready to heat up..... Any guidance, direction etc. is gratefully received....even if pointing me to an already existing thread which I have not found. Many thanks! BBC3
  9. Thanks - i got a place sorted for the same price indoor storage - great!
  10. Linda S - thanks so much. This is just the ticket for this first year at least, but seems like a great price and option for my needs, just 30 mins from my house too. Very much appreciated!!
  11. Thanks Linda - I hear yer. Gonna get the best option I can muster up!
  12. Thanks! All good. Looking at the terp shelter as my most suitable option.......hope to get one cheaper than those though! Yikes.
  13. Hi all, Thinking about storage for my first winter....what do y'all recommend? Thanks!
  14. Nice! My dolphin has a plastic bumper and not the metal one. I have not looked into a hitch, but that is my next stop. I bought a used 'spare tire rack' for 2 bikes, but the angle of the spare wheel is too much hanging away from the vehicle and so is no good, one bike wheel nearly scrapes the ground when i go out my drive, and i didn't like it anyway. Thanks for the replies!!
  15. Hello I'm wondering if anyone has had a bike rack installed on the back of their Dolphin, and if so, did they have a 'hitch' fitted, or use the place where the spare wheel is attached at the back? Any input received with gratitude.
  16. Yep - we're on the same page. From what i've picked up, that seems like the way forward. Gonna do the seams first. Thanks for your input and validation of this approach.
  17. Yes, I think the seams with the Eternabond and the cool-seal for the rest. At this time, I'm mainly concerned with the seals, and plan to clean them up and apply the Eternabond with a roller. Thanks.
  18. Got it! Thanks. I've already purchased the roll, some cleaner for prep work, and even a little roller to help push it down. Many thanks for your input!
  19. Many thanks!! (Sorry you had to build from the ground up!)
  20. Hi there, again.... I have it in mind to re-seal and seal roof and seams. I have read through other threads which speak to this, and wanted to say that my impression was that Koolseal is a good covering for my Dolphin roof. The caulking seems to vary, but most say that RV specific is better than home depot stuff, for instance. Please let me know if I am understanding correctly. Thanks!
  21. OK, perfect - thanks so much!
  22. Many thanks - I appreciate you getting back to me. This info is useful and saves me getting the wrong thing!
