  1. I am new here and this is my first post, I am glad that I found a forum just about Toyota Motorhomes. I am going to look at two Winnebago Toyota Motorhome, both 1987, one is local, 25 miles away the other is 3 hours away the farthest one has this description. We have a 1987 Winnebago Motorhome on a 1 ton Toyota truck chassis. It is 20 feet long with a 4 cylinder and an automatic transmission. It has just been completely gutted and remodeled. It has new carpet, new curtains, new window shades, new window shade frames, new three way (AC, DC, LP) fridge w/ freezer, four burner stove, water heater, furnace, and two full size beds that easily sleep 4 people. It has a new radio/cd player up front, new radio/cd/dvd player in rear, and a new flat panel LCD TV on a swivel wall mount that was all professionally installed. There is a full bath with toilet, sink, and shower. It has three liquid storage tanks; fresh water, grey water, and sewage. All six tires are new with a new spare as well. Comes with original owners manuals, diagrams, and schematics. It has 150k miles and has been driven well and taken care of. A lot better than one that has been sitting in storage with low miles and dry rotted motor seals. Call or email for more Why they redid the interior I don't know, maybe it was just their way or they are trying to cover something up, I guess I am just a cynic but I don't believer anything I read in an ad anymore, some of the rigs advertised in great condition I wouldn't let my dog sleep in them. But back to the topic. The second rig has 97k on it new brakes, good tires, new exhaust and looks clean in the pictures. Neither has a generator. Both have the R22 engine, is 150k too many miles on this engine and will it have enough power for steep hills, I live in the mountains, and have to up or down large hills anywhere I go. The farthest one is $5000 the local one $6000. After I look at them and meet the owners I will have a better idea myself which is the better buy but in your opinion do any of you lean one way or the other, I know if I decide on either one it will be my decision.
