  1. Brakes, rotors, and master cylinder are brand new as of last summer, that and the new tires are what sold the sun land to me over that heritage tandem
  2. im looking for not the cheapest, but affordable upgrade for my current system. Is it very difficult to replace?
  3. ill update once he has been thru, im also buying the glass fuses today. And im going to look into new inverters
  4. I have a neighbor with a DVM and a voltmeter, hes a union electrician. Im going to see if i can persuade him to take a peek and show me the ropes on tracing this thing back. I appreciate all your guys help. Im especially hopeless when it comes to electricity...
  5. Bled the system and a spray of black sludge came out, followed by a few good air bubbles. Clutch felt like new yesterday. This morning its about to where it was when i got it (not bad at all, but still not as firm as yesterday) so im thinking it could use another purge? or should i just take it to a shop to have it flushed. a lot of my friends have advised against this. they think it will disturb any settlement that may make it worse?
  6. Thats what i was looking for! Im def looking into replacing the 12v lights with leds as we go as well
  7. Update. I pulled the batt out on sat and just "hotwired" a car battery to it and hit the two lights that werent working and they lit. So now i know those two only work on battery, but iam still left with the question of why it wont charge my deepcycle? I wasnt able to see if it was charging the car battery because there was no way of holding the hot and ground wires on.
  8. How do i go about checking the trans fluid? Yea no lunging so it hasnt the clutch gone bad... Didnt think about that haha
  9. Oh good. i didnt know it was hydraulic! This is such a stupid question, but where do i check the fluid and should the engine be idling
  10. Hey everyone, I have never had a issue like this before. And i have been driving clutch for the entirety of my driving career. This morning when i jumped in the toy and started i let it idle for 15 before jumping in like usual. jumped in tried to put her in reverse and had to pull it into gear with some force. No grinding though. All other gears are the same way, no grinding but barely goes in gear. With the rv off the trans feels like butter/ The clutch felt fine to me since ive own it. I figured it had 70k left on it? Anyone have any suggestions? The only thing ive done to it was change the spark plugs, wires and cap. It drove fine after that as well. im stumped.
  11. these are pretty neat. thinking about going around the top of the home with them. Maybe splicing directly into one of the existing light? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1M-Waterproof-RGB-LED-Striplight-DC12V-5050-150pc-SMD-/180689709036?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item2a11f227ec
  12. Sounds time consuming but I think I can pull it off, the floors are done already in cedar as well... Gotta finish it soon before it gets water damage. Its my daily driver as well so ill have to do it day by day
  13. Do you think i could do the front cab myself with very little carpentry skill? i would have access to all the right tools though
  14. Id be willing to try half and half like you if i didnt have the rot!
  15. Ok at least I know where to start now. As soon as i get home im going to run thru that checklist. The battery seems newer, and its a good deep cycle. Your probably right about the a/c thermostat . ill wait till it warms up here in chicagoland before i start worrying about that... Any ideas why the side and rear lights just suddenly stopped working? Maybe one of those fuses is bad and just isnt showing any signs? all the bulbs seem ok
  16. Id like to cover the ugly rot rather than paint over top... unless I do some major sanding
  17. I actually like the dark themed wood. And quite jealous of the log cabin
  18. I am completely a dummy when it comes to electricity. and i am about to take my rig somewhere just to have it fixed, but maybe you guys can help. Everything was fine and gravy till 4 days ago i came out to the rig at night to grab something and nothing worked on the coach battery... Just figured i left a light on. Plugged it into shore today and the charge light on my inverter is off, indicating no charge. Besides that the only lights that work now are the two on the ceiling and the one in the bathroom. the rear light under the cabinet and the one over the sink wont work. not to mention now the A/C only works the fan. compressor wont kick in now. All the 'small fuses' in the circuit breaker are ok. I am stumped
  19. I am thinking wood paneling from Home Depot. Any ideas or suggestions? I have cedar floors, so maybe cedar?
  20. http://xa.yimg.com/kq/groups/2592618/hr/1028425741/name/SunLand+Toyota++Alum.+Framework.jpg i dont know if that will work but thats what my structure looks like
  21. My stove top works fine and with no hesitation but i cant get my oven to stay lit. The pilot light stays lit but its very weak. when I push in on the valve and turn to broiler it will turn on and stay on as long as I keep pressure on the valve... as soon as I let go the pilot light goes back to dim and the oven shuts off... I think it may be because its never been used... or maybe only 1 or 2 times. theres not a crumb in it. Any ideas? New valve? Take existing one apart?
  22. it is outside! I got it going. The ignition is broken so had to manually lite it but it seems to work... only kept it on about a hour...
