  1. HI, thanks to both- we will look into each -
  2. We put in a new Atwood heater. If we leave it on overnight, the blower seems to kill the battery by morning. Any thoughts- should this be so? Really doesn't make sense to me- if the heater/blower drain the battery every night what is the point of the heater? Any thoughts/ suggestions/ help will be most appreciated!

Thank you for the cheers! We really just need to finish paint and decide how to finish off the upper sleeping berth- if we can only get the transmission problems solved , this will be the perfect camper for us!
  4. The transmission slips and will not shift from third to fourth- the Rpm were quite high (the engine is the 22RE). The cost- 2000 for the re-build with a new radiator As the camping season winds down in the northeast- we hope to get the camper back this weekend and complete the finishing touches- I will remain optimistic that we will have no further issues with the transmission
  5. Our first trip this year started out 3 days behind schedule- and a blown transmission the first day- ended up in hotels for a week until we could have it rebuilt and had to head home! Three short trips later and the same problem! It simply won't shift (automatic RE 21?) and will make the journey to New Hampshsire to the transmission mech who rebuilt it--If it weren't perfect for us in every other way I would say- Forget it! Hopefully this time the transmission will truly be in working order-

  7. Oh, no we are cancelling the trip to the Cape due to the fact that nothing has been re-installed, and it remains an empty shell. The company that sells the tracks "Interstate Metal", 1-800-587-3463. http://www.interstatemetals.com/ This is the site, I haven't had the opportunity to call them yet, but hope to this week. They have the tracks listed on the site, but you need to call for pricing- I'll let you know when I get more info
  8. Thanks, most of the tracks are falling apart, and all of the sliders work very hard. I found one site that sells new tracks- I think we may try to replace them, but that is at the bottom of the prioity list. We pulled each window, cleaned out all the old butyl tape, caulk etc. We then re-installed with fresh butyl tape and clear geocel(?) caulking. Still with a few leaks, thats why we were thinking it was the tracks. We cleaned out the drainage/weep holes when we pulled the windows. Keep us in your thoughts, we have already cancelled the Cape camping trip in June as there is no way we will have it back together by then. Now we are focused on a trip in August to Lake Champlain-
  9. Hi to all, we continue to work on pulling everything out and have pulled the windows. I noticed the top and bottom tracks are falling apart. Has anyone ever replaced them? If we do not, will the windows leak? Any ideas, comments or suggestions are most appreciated. Thanks!
  10. Hi jpyzk, Our first trip in our Sunrader was to Acadia last summer! MDI has two NP campgrounds- you can reserve on line in advance if you know your dates- they also have a few limited walk-up sites available daily. We had no difficulty late August 09 getting a site- no showers available in the park, but there are showers available just outside the park- loved it, hope to get back- Check out College of the Atlantic on Eden street! You can park there and bike in town from there- or stroll about their campus- (we are partial to the school as our son is a student there!) Enjoy the trip
  11. Thanks, my husband keeps reassuring me "no problem", but things continue to come off, or out, and nothing has gone back in yet......"no problem".......

There were minor leaks from the curved windows. Removed all the sheeting and fabric, smoothed the fiberglass, sealed the windows, and hope to have a dry sleeping berth
  13. Hello to all! We bought our Toyota last Summer, and took one trip to Bar Harbor. We have labored all winter, and hope to have it ready for camping on the Cape in June.
