  1. If it's just a drain, why when I closed it with a ziptie, did it blow the funny looking cork out and water came in gushing into the camper? Is it not some kind of air outlet?
  2. Thanks. I tried to ziptie it and switched the pump on... Hahaha... It just blew a fountain into the camper... So I figured it was a necessary valve ...
  3. Hi there, I have a strange water leak. It's coming from a small pipe that's connected via a tee connection to the line coming from the water pump to the faucet and goes out through the floor of the RV in the back. It's been there since day 1 but suddenly started to leak yesterday. Another mysterious thing is that it continues leaking when the pump is off. Pics attached, any insight on what this is or how to stop it will be much appreciated. Thanks.
  4. Hey there, I'm travelling in Mexico with my family in a 1983 21 ft sunrader 22r. Recently we experienced a very significant loss of power going uphill or even just up a curb. As a result we visited several mechanics which all together changed spark plugs and cables, replaced clutch, 'washed' the carb, adjusted the hand brake, added a Lucas additive to the engine and took out the bad catalytic converter. All of these combined made for a nearly unnoticeable difference. But when we dropped below 4000 ft again suddenly power seems to hhave returned. I then realized that the problem started when we went higher than 4000 the first time. Is this normal or is there something wrong? We went from going up a hill in 3rd or 4th gear to going up an equivalent hill in 2nd and crawling up it. Seems like we need to push the engine to up of 4,000 rpm to get the same acceleration as we did at 2,500 rpm before and even then I can't shift quick enough to not lose all the power... Is something wrong with the altimeter or some other component? It seems like an unreasonable loss of power. Thanks, Itamar
  5. Thanks Fred, I don't have a GPS but I found an app that does the same on my phone. I don't know how accurate it is and I should get a mount so it's sitting in a good place and I don't look down at it. At least until I get the speedo fixed.
  6. Thanks Linda. Yes, it's a 5-speed. How did you get so knowledgeable about these?
  7. Thanks Anthony, The thing is someone started fixing it and pulled the cable out, then closed shop, stopped answering phone calls and kept the cable. How do I get a replacement/ know which cable to get? and any diagrams on where it should go? cause as of now I got nothing to follow...
  8. Hey, I have a 1983 Sunrader with a non-working speedo and odometer. the odo says 37,xxx but who knows when it stopped working... Any info/ advice on how to go about fixing it? Mostly I'd like to get the odometer working so I can get a better idea of my MPG and my fuel gauge is not that accurate so that way I'll be able to plan my trips better... leaving the Bay area today towards Costa Rica... Many Thanks, Itamar
