  1. I see Derek up North's Dolphin owners manual on the Dolphin... Nice.
  2. Nice...Thanks for the hep. ..The campground was pretty much deserted. It was only 10 minutes out of town. Just wanted to take it on the highway to give 'er a workout...Wasn't pretty. A lot of sound and fury, but really couldn't get up to the posted 110 kph. She sways like a drunken sailor. ..but once i got to site, it was nice to just back into spot and prepare a vodka drink. ...Meanwhile, it looked like the keystone cops had parked next to me. All rods swinging, tent flapping in the wind, people running around. lol. ...Figured out the awning. There are plastic tabs that slide up on each arm. There is a sliding metal switch with button (to unlock) that puts awning into unroll/roll mode. There is a hidden tab beneath each arm that needs to be unlocked in order to pull out....awning must be pulled so the black tabs at the top click into its hole...There are other things i noticed. But they will have to wait. My ice is melting....Cheers.
  3. Hello everyone. I am a newbie and pretty green (it ain't easy). Looked for an introduction area here. Maybe I missed that during my original gander. Forgive me if I've posted in wrong area. Anyhoo, would like to introduce myself. A proud Canadian living in Southern Alberta. I just bought a 1987 Toyota Okanagan. Last owner says its 22 feet. ..Typed in "toyota okanagan " into chrome, and the results were as rare as chickens teeth. So I signed up here where I hope to gather a little knowledge about my new toy. Paid 7500 and it has 130 000 km. Previous owner took great care of it. Kept meticulous records of all service and maintenance. But, there is no owners manual. And me being so green, I neglected to ask important questions about this baby. For example- I just arrived at my 1st campsite...figured " how hard could it be" to open the awning...well it has me stumped. Every website I looked at had instructions on how to operate. But none had advice on how to use this 1987 sunburst awning. I've done a lot of tugging, unlatching, unscrewing but to no avail. Don't want to force the issue, as I don't want to have to drive home with the awning flapping in the wind. There are other questions regarding mysterious toggle switches, multiple batteries, how to drain grey water, sewage, turn on fridge, heat, etc etc. Yes I should have been more inquisitive. Was overcome with excitement, and just wanted to buy and go camping. And here I am...Hoping there are some folks here who would like to chat...Not being lazy, but this is what forums are for. Would be grateful to any who'd like to converse. Best wishes Poppy
