kayakthecoast
I did some creek scouting for future whitewater kayak trips this weekend. Drove into the Queets and Humptulips river basins. With weeks of heavy rains and our first overnight snow flury, my 4x4 came in very handy. There are plenty of dispersed camping spots in here. Reminds me of New Zealand and the coastal rainforest with moss lined trees. Bring firewood it's cold in here. The old bridges and signs also reminded me of the flick Deliverance!! Enjoy the pics. MontanaChinook
Ah, that's why I love the camper...in weather that would normally mean "roughing it", you can still be perfectly comfy and cozy. Nice pics. Looks like a fun weekend.
linda s
I did the Peninsula when I was up there and saw you. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to really get to the back roads. Mostly stayed close to the beach. My girlfriend up there was not a camper but she had a ball so we are planning some more trips for sure. Love the Seattle area. No matter which way you drive fantastic camping and sight seeing are right in front of you Linda S
kayakthecoast
Yup after scouting for river access and climbing up and down banks I always had my warm camper to retreat to. Yes Linda I've been exploring the peninsula for 18 years, and I haven't seen it all yet!
passman
Very nice, I spent most weekends this past summer exploring the peninsula and Washington coast instead of working on the Sunrader, fair trade. Being located in the Shelton area I look at it as all being in my backyard
kayakthecoast
It's a neat place to explore alright. We finally got some snow so we are heading inland to backcountry ski near mt rainier next week
