teahouse
We were operating too close to the temp red line on long hills. Stopped at a carwash and back flushed the radiator, air conditioning radiator and transmission coolor... and estimate a 10% to 15% change for the better. Just thought it might be helpful to pass that along.
Gary_M
Good to hear! In my case I hit the red line at idle after a long hauls on the freeway. I've had everything replaced, thermostat, radiator, water pump. Yeah still saw the temp climb. Well, gave the fan clutch a spin and seemed to spin freely with no tension. I replaced it and wala! At freeway speeds I can now hear the fan clutch kick in. Never heard it before, music to the ears. No more rising needle. I imagine most toys have the original 30 year old fan clutch. Definately a must do!
