Larry
I have a '92 Warrior, 6 cyclinder. There is no carpeting in the cab, just the vinyl floor covering. The transmission hump between the seats gets really warm - almost hot. You sure couldn't leave a candy bar close by. Is this normal?
Gulfstream Greg
Larry I would say yes its probably right. With out the carpet as insulation the transmission heat will radiate into the cab. Auto transmissions can easily reach 220 degrees. Thats allot of heat. Greg
WME
I went to Home Depot and got a roll of the Refeletix insulation. Removed the seats and pulled up the floor cover. Using the special tape I laid a piece over the trannie hump. Then cut and laid another layer over the whole cab floor . Reinstalled carpet and seats. It made a big difference in the amount of heat comming in.
