Tires- Thunderer Ranger 101 185r14C 8PR 102/1000 Light Truck

Hey All,

On the Sunradar 21 ft that I bought it had the Thunderer Ranger 101 185r14C from Les Schwab.

Back 4 duals DOT- KAARA011212 FRONT DOT- KAA7A0182711

SO if I have read the threads corectly the back tires (duals) were made in the 12th week of 2012.

The front tire were made the 27th week of 2011. Both of these dates are with in the 6 years. I have seen some mention of the tires from Les Schwab being junk, so some direction here would be appreciated. If I do not have to buy tires now it would be a good thing, I am already in the doghouse for the cost of this project.

I think you've got the date right but it's hard to tell when I'm not looking at a tire. I also think the Thunderer ranger is a Nexen tire. Not a bad tire at all. Does the tread look like this

the thunderer is indeed made by nexen never heard of anything bad about them i have some. that pict is the same asi have

Hi Linda,

No it did not have that tread design. I looked up Thunderer Ranger 101 and found a company from Thailand. The specs have the tires as 8 ply and the load ranges were 800 kg. They are dated correctly so I think I am ok. Unless I hear otherwise from others.
