Solo Trip - South Dakota and Back

I've got about a week of vacay coming up soon, so I'm taking the Warrior and driving north out of Missouri, hitting the State Fair briefly in Sedalia, and then continuing on up past Nebraska and Iowa towards the SE tip of South Dakota: Sioux Falls area. Anybody spent much time around there? Things to do and see? Camping recommendations? Palisades State Park looks like a neat destination, so I might spend a few nights there, before I start the return journey.
