cpcogburn Posted September 27, 2025 Posted September 27, 2025 I have a 87 Gulfstream Conquest with a 22RE engine. I recently purchased it, and dropped the tank for a fuel sender repair and found a rusty MESS! I've purchased a new sender, new 17Gal. fuel tank but I'm having trouble finding the correct fuel pump stand for the 2WD 17 gallon tank. The tank depth at the pump flange is 10 inches. The stand I got (and all I can find) are 13". The previous owners had the same issue, as the stand had been cut, and the pump was hanging off of the rubber fuel line! The inlet filter was missing and there was a lot of debris in the intake port of the pump. Somehow, we DROVE it home 125 miles (It died a few times) -- Anyway, I can't seem to locate the correct pump stand anywhere -- I think all the 13" stands fit the 4x4 17 gallon tanks, which is more common. cpcogburn Posted October 4, 2025 Author Posted October 4, 2025 I have come to the conclusion there is no fuel pump stand available for the 17 gallon 2WD fuel tank. I ordered a p/n 23206-35121 (commonly available) and BENT the crap out of it , the cut a section off of the hard fuel line. After much trial and error, I got it where I wanted it , and will be able to go back together with it. What a pain in the rear end! Quote
